Upgrading from 8gb ram to 16gb could have gone three ways: either one 16gb or two 8gb or buying a new computer. After reading a lot of reviews, I followed the advice of computer specialists and decided on the middle option. Using two channels to process software just made more sense. Now my two+-year-old laptop has new life. Most important, it’s much better for my video and photo editing projects. I’ve used Crucial brand memory for nearly 20 years and have NEVER had a problem. The same goes for B&H where I’ve been doing business for nearly 40 years. Last but not least, I could have tried to install the new memory but I went to a local computer shop and paid $40 for them to do it the right way AND test out the ASUSVivoBook to make sure everything worked and it did.
