Used in a 2015 27 iMac. Upon installing for the first time, for some reason the iMac wouldn’t boot and double checking everything was inserted well didn’t help. So I reshuffled the original and new dimms (grouping them in pairs next to one another, new-new-old-old looking from top to bottom) and since then everything works perfectly, all 24GB of RAM.

Altough these are not specified as for Mac (according to crucial’s website) they work withough any problem on my new late 2015 Imac.

The two 8gb RAM modules slotted into my late 2015 5k 27 inch imac without fuss. All that was then required was booting up and that was it. Although it only had the standard 8gb the imac was never a slouch. Now with 24 gb its blisteringly fast. Great value for money upgrade RAM modules.

I’m writing this to address the previous negative review. Crucial is great memory, I have purchased hundreds of sticks over the years and never had a problem. The issue is that Crucial makes two different specs of this RAM. The correct part number for an iMac is CR2K102464BF and it costs $3 more as of this writing.

I purchased this memory to install in a new iMac 5K system. The memory is a perfect fit an hundreds $$$ cheaper than Apple memory modules.

Very easy to install into IMac 27. Computer recognized a new memory from the first attempt. There are a lot of practice advice how to do it right on UTube. So far I’m very satisfied with it.

Easy install. No problems with my iMac 27 5K Late 2015 recognizing the RAM

These modules are a lower-cost option to get my new replacement iMac up to 16GB. They meet Apple’s specification and are easy to install. I chose this option because I upgraded my old iMac over seven years ago with Crucial modules without any problems. I expect these modules to work properly for the life of the iMac.

Initially placed my order directly from Crucial but unfortunately they were only accepting payments via business wire transfers. Luckily B&H had the same RAM for my iMac in stock. Shipping was a little bit more than what Crucial quoted but it was the only way for me to obtain these! Installation was fairly simple. Slotted these directly at the empty slots in my iMac and now I’ve got a total of 40gb RAM that’s making my iMac fly.

Purchased this to upgrade my late 2015 Apple iMac from 8GB (2 x 4GB cards) to a total of 24GB. Product arrived in bubble-lined envelop from B&H, and was housed in sturdy plastic package from Crucial. No risk of damage. Installation was super easy, provided you have purchased the right memory chip for your particular computer. Just make sure you check with your computer manufacturers notes on what type of memory is compatible for upgrades, and what is the maximum upgradable memory supported by your system. System booted right away with no issues. Have been using product now for a few weeks without any problems. While my iMac functioned with 8GB, it was beginning to become sluggish while I had several Adobe products open at the same time, plus Chrome & Spotify. The upgrade from 8 to 24GB made a noticeable difference, and now I average about 14GB of memory used, which still leaves me about 10GB of available memory. Would definitely recommend making the upgrade if you are in a similar situation. While this same product was offered elsewhere on the internet (Amazon, Newegg.com, etc.) I decided to go with B&H because they are a trusted retailer, did not charge sales tax, and offered free shipping on this purchase. B&H was not the absolute cheapest place for this product, but the pricing was competitive enough, and the fact that I was purchasing from a trusted source was important to me, especially for this type of product. Would buy again from B&H, would recommend buying from B&H, and would recommend product.
