This kit from Crucial provides two 8GB DDR3 1866 MHz SODIMM Memory modules to offer 16GB of RAM for your notebook or small form factor system. Each memory module is designed to run at 1866 MT/s frequency (PC3-14900) with a CAS latency of 13. It is a dual memory module that requires 1.35V power. To use DDR3 memory, your system must have both a SODIMM slot and a chipset that supports DDR3 memory.

Purchased a late 2015 27 iMac from the same vendor. 8 GB default RAM is not sufficient for viewing or working with HD videos. Installed the purchased memory in 5 minutes. Now have a total of 24 GB of RAM. Video viewing is much better now. Toyed with the idea of installing 32 GB of RAM but read from the Apple support community that having non-Apple RAM at capacity is sometimes problematic.

Plug and play ease of use. Really important however to: a) watch a relevant youtube video in advance to understand how your model of laptop clamps the cards in place- not intuitive; and b) take precautions to prevent static electric charge. After this prep and easy install, the new memory worked immediately, no boot-up or use hick-ups. And everything runs so much faster!
