The 32GB DDR4 2400 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Kit from Crucial comes with two sticks of 16GB RAM chips that are designed for notebooks as well as most NUCs. These memory modules are compatible with systems that have two 260-pin slots and support non-ECC, unbuffered DDR4 memory. Each module features a CAS latency of 17 and a speed of 2400 MHz. With more memory, the computer can better handle demanding applications as well as run multiple programs at the same time. In addition, they operate at 1.2V and offer other energy features to reduce power consumption.

Apple makes wonderful computers, but charges an arm and a leg for upgrading the RAM. Order your iMac through B&H to save the tax with minimum RAM and buy the 16GB (2 x 8GB) or 32GB (2x 16GB) memory kit to give you a total of 24 or 40GB. From my days of building windows computers, when I got the 2x16GB kit, I elected to remove the 2x4GB memory boards and put the new 2x16GB in their place. Then I put the original 2x4GB boards in the remaining 2 slots. See the accompanying photo of the boards installed. My rationale for this was that the motherboard was very likely designed to access 2 boards at a time in an ‘interleaved’ fashion, so you need to put equal memory in each one of the paired slots. I used the largest memory in the first pair of interleaved slots, as there is a small slow-down when a program memory needs crosses the pair boundary. In this case, I made that pair boundary as high as I could at 32GB by putting the largest memory cards in the first paired slots. Usually 32GB will hold all of my needs and nothing will have to cross the pair boundary’

Not much to say about RAM, it either works or doesnt. Working fine in my NUC. Good name brand. No problems so far.

Upgrading to 5 stars. Turns out the problem is that Apple shipped my computer with memory modules that run at 2133 instead of 2400 even though they are labelled 2400. So they won’t work with actual 2400 speed memory. If you have the problem that the iMac won’t start with added memory, google the micron part number and check the specs. Don’t believe the pc2400 printed on the chip! The Crucial tech support people figured this out and they were SUPER

Easy install and much more affordable than Apple’s memory. Worked with no problems at all.

The post-purchase installation of this memory on my 2017 27 iMac was simple and successful. I was a bit concerned when operation on my iMac was not specifically mentioned in any of the advertising, however, the specs matched those require by Apple and the memory operates perfectly and passed all of the Apple start-up tests.

I placed these two 16gb RAM cards into my company computer and went from 8gb of RAM to 32gb. Great upgrade for $150, no issues running Windows 10 and Lightroom.

Always reliable Crucial Memory at a reasonable price. Crucial makes it simple to identify the compatible memory module for your computer and from there, just order it from your favorite tech web site. Once you receive and install it, you can be assured it will work in your computer.

Pleased considering the COVID-19 shut down issues that the RAM arrived in a timely amount of days for regular shipping. Took a bit of time to carefully open the Lenovo Ideapad 110-17IKB but the memory fit perfectly and Windows 10 booted up and acknowledged with no issues. With 4RAM on the board and the added sixteen it is running at 19.6GB. Lightening compared to the previous 8 and runs multiple programs smoothly now.

I easily installed the memory kit into my new iMAC (in addition to the basic 8GB in the machine) and it works perfect.

just got my unit a few days ago and the installation was fool-proof. you just open up your laptop and just stick the RAM into the existing slot. it can only go one way. in game performance improved by a minimum of 20fps. already got an existing 16gb ram inside and this RAM made it 32gb. In PUBG, i got an fps increase from 70-80 to 80-100 consistently. in Hunt Showdown (the game is very unoptimised) i got an increase from an avg of 50 to a minimum fps of no lower than 60fps. so bois and gurls, dual channel config is the way to go for gaming. but you’ll see most of the fps increase in lower settings rather than high. i can say much about other activities cause i mainly just game on my laptop.

So I bought this RAM to upgrade an HP laptop I bought on Black Friday at BB. The laptop was not intended for a ton of storage and came with a 128GB SSD. That was totally fine with me. It wasn’t until after I bought it that I noted it only had 4GB RAM. I had thought it had 8. I almost took it back when I found BHP and made this purchase. The funniest part is, I bought this knowing I could up the laptop to 8GB RAM, but I also had been reading a thread about it. Of course, someone had asked the question could it be done. The experts on this laptop said of course it could be done, there was one slot for the card and it would take 8. Towards the end of the thread, there was one guy who said yeah, but this manual says there are 2 slots, would 12GB be possible? The experts again said, no, one slot, 8GB. The final post was the guy commenting that he had opened his, found 2 slots, put an 8 in, in addition to the installed 4 and his system was recognizing and responding to 12. When it arrived, I finally took the laptop out of the box. Within 20 minutes, I opened up the back, found 2 slots, added this 8GB card. After closing up the back, I turned the computer on and fired it up. It immediately indicated 12GB RAM and has been working nicely since. The card is easy to install and is a way better purchase option than buying a new computer.

took two seconds to install, immediately recognized and no more paging, so now I have a million (like 48) safari tabs open and use Logic Pro X and apple tv going and it doesn’t even flinch, yep I actually bought this again to max out my memory, its already shipped, not sure what else to say about memory other than its a must upgrade for any mac with only 8 gigs of memory (which is terrible unless you are spending thousands of dollars on a mac to only look up directions). 2017 iMac 27 inch 5k 3.4g i5

Order was shipped quickly, arrived on time and memory snapped right into place. Works like a charm, will definitely order again once I’m ready for more RAM.

Crucial has always been solid memory for me, just works. Same with this module, and the B&H price was good!

I upgraded my 4G ram to this 16 G. Easy to install. It’s like all of the mental sludge in my Lenovo PC has vanished. Should have done it long ago.
