I had a 1GB RAM in my Synology NAS and it was okay for the first couple of years, but after I started to use it more frequently/heavily, I knew I needed to change the RAM. This was the best fit!

As others have noted, this RAM works perfectly in a Retina iMac, however it’s not compatible with Apple’s preinstalled RAM. Just yank out the existing memory and use these Crucial modules in 2 or 4 slots.
Nedra Shields (verified owner) –
As it should be. Received the module and put it in started the system and it run’s as expected.

Seems great. I watched a how to on youtube, and they went right in my Imac 27 late 2013.
Tito Hessel (verified owner) –
The boards were well constructed, fit exactly as expected and the system recognized them immediatly.

I ordered an iMac with Retina Display from B&H with 8GB of memory. Rather than paying $ for the Apple iMac version with 32GB I ordered the B&H 32GB Crucial Bundle. I saved a bundle – over half the cost of the Apple memory. You have to install 4 8GB of memory into each slot. The installation of memory in the new iMacs is really easy. You do have to replace the 2 4GB installed memory sticks that come with the iMac. The new iMac Retina 5K screams with 32GB of memory. I edit huge photo and video files and it is such a difference with more memory.

Installed memory in the iMac, booted up and the memory was recognized. Good price, fast shipping…

I am using this in my MacBook Pro 2012 and it has improved every aspect of my mac.

Took the MacBook Pro from 8 to 16GB and was MUCH cheaper to do this way than buy the upgrade from Apple. Simply pulled the old out and slipped in the new and now I have more RAM for PhotoShop to work with.
Nickolas Jerde (verified owner) –
These filled all of the empty spaces on my Imac.

We use this memory in Mac Minis to upgrade to maximum allowable RAM for a music recording service. It’s very reasonably priced, and the Crucial brand has never failed us (knock on wood). It can be slightly tricky to get out of the packaging and install. I always feel like I’m going to break it! Having said that, I’m 100% in dozens of tries!

I bought four of these for a total of 32GB of Ram for my 5k iMac. Works like a charm. The installation was easy. The hardest part was to pry open the door to access the memory slots. I put a pen through the hole in the iMac base and pushed the button below the door.

I needed 16GB of RAM for my 5K Retina iMac. All I had to do was call up B&H and they knew right away the EXACT RAM I needed. So simple. Great price. I always feel I’m in good hands when I order from B&H. Now my iMac is maxed out at 32GB RAM and runs like a top! Thank you, B&H!!! I alway recommend you to other computer and audio geeks like me.

When you buy RAM, you want it to fit perfectly and work without any hiccups. Quality is determined by the perfect fit and correct functionality. Crucial provides just such quality and it went into my mid-2015 retina iMac without a hitch. I’m running without any problems and 32GB of usable RAM now. This was a great purchase from one of my favorite retailers.

Worked great, iMac was running a little slow and only showing 4GB of its original 8GB memory. Found one of the 4GB modules had worked loose on one end. Secured that original 4GB module and added the new 8GB Crucial module, now the iMac shows it has 16GB. Wife is happy and feels like it is a new machine. We ordered another 8GB module and received it today but it is not as yet installed.
