This is the best and perfect memory for an iMac Retina 5K. No need to spend a dime more. Added it to the installed 16GB

I purchased this for my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. I mean, it’s memory ? you take the old ones out and you put the new ones in. There really isn’t much to review. The packaging was easy to open. Perhaps I could take away a star because they could have made the package smaller and I didn’t notice if it was made from recycled plastic or not. I’ll be nice today…

Except for the fact that my laptop makes it really difficult to access the RAM cards, this was a breeze. I got a direct link from the manufacturer to B&H’s website page for the exact product I needed, which was great because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. After spending about 99.9% of my time removing the back of my laptop, it only took about 30 seconds to replace the 2G and 4G RAM cards with two 8G cards. Perfect. Booted that thing up, and it ran like a rabbit.

The two 8 GB modules arrived quickly and perfectly protected. Apple support has very clear online instructions on how to add them to the iMac. It is extremely easy to do (I had my daughter do it so she would learn how). It took ten minutes. When I powered the iMac back on, the memory was instantly recognized. For the very low cost of the additional 16 GB memory, it’s a must-do upgrade.

Put these in a new IMac that only came with 8gbs of ram. Having 32gb makes a big difference.

Shopped around, online, for this 16GB memory pair, because no one around where I live carried it, and found B&H to have best price and free delivery before anyone else could get it to me for a delivery fee. Thank you B&H for such great service!!

It’s memory. Great memory. Does what it’s supposed to. No brainer.

I have noticed some reviewers are using this memory in late 2013 iMac’s. Or Macs designed to be used with 1.35 volt memory. The voltage on this module is too high at 1.4 volts. The correct memory voltage for the later Mac’s is 1.35 volts. I guess you can use this as some are but getting into the TECH aspect of this module is incorrect for MACS using 1.35 volt modules.
