First, let me say I have never had an issue with Crucial RAM. I should have known to go with it this time, but I tried to save money. I ordered a different brand of RAM from a reputable vendor, and once it was installed the laptop would not boot. I had to spend time diagnosing a blinking orange and white LED on the front of the laptop to figure out that the cheaper RAM would not work. I returned it and ordered this kit. Once I installed the kit, I was up and running in about 5 minutes. This is a great upgrade. I recommend the kit (16GB) and Crucial. You can’t go wrong with Crucial’s quality and guarantee.

For me, there isn’t a whole lot to say about a memory upgrade. My laptop came with 8GB of ram occupying 1 of 2 slots. I stuck this in the open slot and doubled the RAM. It had the effect I would have expected and works perfectly. My laptop supports up to 64MB but with the cost of RAM decreasing as bigger and faster is developed I have time to wait for that level.
