To use this module, your system must have both a 204-pin SO-DIMM slot and DDR3-enabled chip.

I bought 16GB of memory to give little more punch to my iMac 5K. Crucial memory is not compatible with genuine Apple memory. I had to get rid of existing memory and replace it by Crucial. Doing so the 5K is working perfectly without any problem. Very happy.

Now, while I know my fair share about computers, I am not the master of all. The RAM stick I ordered arrived in a timely manner, all in one piece, and even had easy to remove packaging. While installation was a pain, that was due to me having never done something like replacing RAM before. This site has the stick cheaper than other places, and is a great value for upgrading a computer. I will probably get my next processor from here as well, as it will arrive quickly and in great condition.

When you buy RAM, you want it to fit perfectly and work without any hiccups. Quality is determined by the perfect fit and correct functionality. Crucial provides just such quality and it went into my mid-2015 retina iMac without a hitch. I’m running without any problems and 32GB of usable RAM now. This was a great purchase from one of my favorite retailers.

Buy iMac with minimum amount of RAM (8GB), upgrade to 32GB RAM with this item, sell old 8GB RAM that came in computer = Upgrade for 1/2 the cost of doing it through apple.

Except for the fact that my laptop makes it really difficult to access the RAM cards, this was a breeze. I got a direct link from the manufacturer to B&H’s website page for the exact product I needed, which was great because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. After spending about 99.9% of my time removing the back of my laptop, it only took about 30 seconds to replace the 2G and 4G RAM cards with two 8G cards. Perfect. Booted that thing up, and it ran like a rabbit.
