To use this module, your system must have both a 204-pin SO-DIMM slot and DDR3-enabled chip.

Replaced the ram in an Acer Aspire E15 laptop with this Crucial 8GB x 2 memory. It had 6GB before so it was slow as soon as there were a few programs trying to run. The laptop is running W10 smoothly now with multiple programs open.

These memory modules replace the 2 x 4 GByte modules I had previously. Crucial europe did not have them on stock, so I ordered at B&H and I must say I had a good shopping and delivery experience. The whole process was easy and B&H did provide a lot of progress information. The well-packed modules arrived in good order and perform great after installation. Together with a recent upgrade of HD to SSD I expect my nine year old laptop to withstand the modern bloatware for another 5 years.

Upgrading your RAM is a big deal in terms of speeding up your computer. I am going to upgrade my storage as well (I currently have about 20 GB of storage left) but even with the limited storage I have, my laptop is significantly faster. Definitely a good buy.

I have a late 2013 27 iMac (3.2GHz Intel Core i5 w/ originally 8GB of RAM). I purchased this Crucial RAM for for two reasons and two reasons only: I wanted to preview RAW files faster and I wanted to open/process RAW files faster. Neither has happened. As a matter of fact, since installing this RAM, I’ve noticed worse load times for both preview renders and processing time. Not worth it. Invest your money elsewhere.

I have never had enough RAM. Finally I thought my memory problems would be solved. I use Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro for extensive photo and video artwork creation. I use Adobe Dreamweaver and Bridge to work on my website. I work more than 8 hours a day. The 3 star rating is to say average. It might deserve 5 stars. I can’t tell where my artifacts are coming from because I updated the operating system, played with a new iPad and iCloud, and added a new external drive all at the same time. The probrems mainly come from the video editing program. Large areas of the screen become festively embroidered in colorful patterns. I can’t multitask. I restart often. I should say that installation was simple and my iMac reports the correct amount of RAM. Perhaps my problems are the Video Memory. So do not take this as a negative review. It is an I am in troubleshooting mode review.

My MacBook Pro was crashing. This started after I installed Sierra. Finally it just went black. I drove 36 miles one way in an ice storm to a Genius Bar. They stripped its memory. All files gone. Spent an entire day. Returned home. Still the same. Went back. Decent tech said she would stay with it, and did. Diagnosed one really sick Ram card. Removed it Installed Yosemite, Told me it would run on one good card. It did. Advised to install new set myself. An other whole day. Found B and H. Went from 8GB to 16 GB. Joseph quadruple checked. Cards arrived within hours! Slipped into place easily. It has been three weeks. Perfect.

Installed this 8Gb SODIMM in a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E531 running Win8.1 to replace the factory-installed 4GB SODIMM, which I then installed in a second Thinkpad Edge in addition to its factory-installed 4Gb bringing both to a total of 8Gb. Both machines are working much better (and equally well) with 8Gb RAM. Very little paging even with a number of applications open. Crucial 8Gb SODIMM worked perfectly.
