Just replaced the original 500GB HD of my early 2011 Macbook Pro for a new Crucial 512GB MX100 2.5 Internal Solid State Drive and am very surprised with the new performance. It seems I’ve got a brand new laptop! Added the 16GB ram as well to help deal with Yosemite OS X.

I bought a MAC mini with 4GB memory and I am running VM for my windows system which needs more memory. This 16 GB really speeds up my system. The installation is very easy.

Perfect fit. Works excellent. Big boost in speed compared to the 8GB originally supplied.

These two cards ramped my iMac 27 inch up to super power status. With the 24GB I now have I can run Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, Safari, MS Word and Mail simultaneously which results in an easier work flow.

As others have noted, this RAM works perfectly in a Retina iMac, however it’s not compatible with Apple’s preinstalled RAM. Just yank out the existing memory and use these Crucial modules in 2 or 4 slots.
Melvina Hamill (verified owner) –
I am using this in my MacBook Pro 2012 and it has improved every aspect of my mac.

Plugged in the new RAM and I have a brand new computer. It’s an older Acer so it’s hard to find the right parts but this works perfect
Elise Lind (verified owner) –
affordable and fast. it’s the exact upgrade i needed to get my out-of-the-box macbook pro working like i expected it to. 16gbs is above the recommended 8gb for my model but i can clock the difference and it’s great!

This was a memory upgrade for a new model Mac Mini. It was a straight forward installation: open bottom, pop out to old chips and put in the new ones. Restart.

The extra RAM in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro is awesome. My computer does not slow down for anything now. Can run multiple applications with no hesitation or wait. Super easy to install. Computer stays cool. Highly recommend if you’re looking to improve your computer’s performance.

Got the crucial memory module as an upgrade to my existing 8gb and it was definitely worth the money!! Price: 5 * unbeatable prices by B&H even cheaper than my local computer stores. Availability: 5 * didn’t have to go to great deal to search for the product I wanted.

Easy to install, think it helped.

I am an average user – don’t do heavy graphics, or use heavy applications, but I do have many apps running at the same. I didn’t think that for what I do I needed more memory. Turns out I was very wrong. Follow Apple’s instructions for IMacs from Late 2012 or later – easy 5 minute start to finish, and makes a huge difference. Now I have 24 GB and my IMac using 12GB on average. 8GB were clearly not enough. Totally worth it. Had no problem mixing these with the Apple stock 2x4GB.
