Each non-ECC unbuffered DDR3 PC3-12800 RAM memory module features a 1600 MHz clock speed, a CAS latency of 11, a 1024 Meg x 64 configuration, and a power rating of 1.35V. To use this module, your system must have both a 204-pin SO-DIMM slot and DDR3-enabled chip.

With software always needing updates and hardware demanding ever-increasing processing speed, I am so glad I increased the RAM. It would have been definitely necessary down the line, probably extended the life of the computer, and/or would have been a major pain-in-the-neck to do later. I definitely recommend!
