Each SODIMM module is compatible with systems that have an available 204-pin memory slot. For performance, it runs at a speed of 1600 MHz (PC3L-12800) and has a CAS latency of 11. Additionally, the DDR3L memory chips can operate at 1.35V or 1.5V.

I purchased this memory for my Mac Mini i7 2.53ghz. I have to run Parallels to run Windows 7 on this computer and with the addition of the 16GB memory, It runs like a chief with the Mac OS. Running it before with the factory 8GB was terrible and many times Windows just bombed out parallels and I had many episodes of reboots. But not now, with the 16gb this is a thing of the past.

I recently upgraded my Late 2012 Mac Mini 2.3 GHz 5400 RPM 1TB HDD from 4 GBs of ram memory (which I also purchased during cyber monday 2013 from BHPhoto as well) to maxed out 16gb ram DDR3. Works super fast alongside my Samsung 840 Pro 256gb second boot drive. I do a lot of video editing for my vlogs on youtube, so this 16gb ram DDR3 upgrade is a plus for using with the latest version of Final Cut Pro X. There’s no lag or long wait times for FULL HD video to render. I went with Crucial because they are reliable and it’s the only brand I trust to get he job done. They also have the best customer service out of all the other ram memory manufacturers with fast response times, though I have never had any issues with their ram modules.

And of course, their price is usually unbeatable, with an excellent return policy. I have a macbook pro (i7core / 2.9 – mid 2012). Manual states 8GB max memory, but if you do some research you’ll find that your macbook pro can and will support 16GB of memory. I’ve definitely noticed and improvement with my mac’s performance. Especially in large picture and movie files.
