I bought this memory module to upgrade my 2011 Macbook Pro Intel i7. The memory was easy to replace and works like a charm. My Macbook is fast and responsive again, and does not stutter when I am using memory hungry application like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for my photography work. The only upgrade that I now need to make is install a SSD.

I’m so glad I did this! Now I can have a browser open and other programs as well (photoshop, Lightroom, gopro studio).

I was reluctant to say the least and I depended on B&H folks for direction and glad I did. Works super, no issues.

My Macbook pro Late 2011 started slowing down the past few months especially with the usage of Microsoft office programs such as Word and Powerpoint. The programs would take from 1-3 minutes to load and it was very frustrating. I was given the advice of upgrading my RAM to help with the speed of my laptop. I upgraded the RAM from 2 x 2GB (total 4GB) to 2 x 4GB (total 8GB) as purchased. My laptop is so much faster right now, and significantly so when opening Microsoft office programs. The load time for opening Microsoft programs is currently 3seconds instead of previous 1-3minutes. I have the Memory Clean app and before I changed the RAM the free memory available was 1-3% and now it has increased to an average of 20%. My Macbook Pro still takes a long time to start up after shutting down the laptop. (1.5 minutes). I am currently running on Mountain Lion OS 10.8.5. I’m not sure if this is the reason but I am reluctant to upgrade my OS for fear of either draining the battery faster or slowing down the laptop. This RAM was a good price on the website and it arrived within 2-3 days. Definitely a good investment in helping with the speed of the laptop.

Works great with the 2011 iMac. After finding out that this model would support 32gb, I decided to upgrade.

Upgraded my MacBook Pro from the original 4GB to this 16GB of RAM, and notice immediate improvement! Everything moved much quicker. I am so glad that I made this upgrade, with such noticeable speed increase! This was SOOOOO very easy to install as well. I was afraid to open my Macbook, but I followed the video on Apples’s website, and it was a breeze. This investment was well worth the money.

Updated my backup 2011 MacBook Pro to use in the office. Inexpensive upgrade vs buying a brand new laptop and very easy to install. Highly recommend doing this along with a SSD upgrade to make your older laptop run faster.

This is a standard ram item. The pricing war reasonable and shipping was upgraded by b&h. Got the ram faster than expected.

My iMac is five years old and had become sluggish especially when loading multiple photographic raw files. I doubled the memory and the problem went away. B&H was very helpful with their online chat feature both in choosing the right memory but also in finding a good price among competing but comparable products. I am very pleased with Crucial (which I have used before) and with B&H.

Upgraded my Early 2011 MBP from 8GB to 16GB, which maxed it out. Also upgraded my hard drive to a new Samsung 850 Evo at the same time, which helped my laptop be the most optimal as possible.Purchased this RAM kit from B&H for less than $$. Probably the best $$I’ve ever spent!

Crucial makes it easy to determine exactly what memory you need for your Mac (and other computers) and B&H’s price and delivery can’t be beaten. I added the RAM to my Mac and it’s running like new.
