I purchased an ASUS recently that I could boost up to 16 gigs, and to my immediate attention, I knew that I needed all the power that the ASUS laptop could offer me, and thus, the 8 gig crucial ram bar was the first thing that I knew I needed. Crucial is a great company to trust as they have never failed me thus far. I bought two 8 gigs ram bars and my asus now is a power house.

As others have noted, this RAM works perfectly in a Retina iMac, however it’s not compatible with Apple’s preinstalled RAM. Just yank out the existing memory and use these Crucial modules in 2 or 4 slots.

Installed this memory in my new Mac-Mini 2012 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, taking it from 4G to 16G. Super easy to install, and it made an instant, amazing performance difference with the computer. Except for the fact that my laptop makes it really difficult to access the RAM cards, this was a breeze. I got a direct link from the manufacturer to B&H’s website page for the exact product I needed, which was great because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. After spending about 99.9% of my time removing the back of my laptop, it only took about 30 seconds to replace the 2G and 4G RAM cards with two 8G cards. Perfect. Booted that thing up, and it ran like a rabbit.

My MacBook Pro was crashing. This started after I installed Sierra. Finally it just went black. I drove 36 miles one way in an ice storm to a Genius Bar. They stripped its memory. All files gone. Spent an entire day. Returned home. Still the same. Went back. Decent tech said she would stay with it, and did. Diagnosed one really sick Ram card.
