My 2.3 GHz i7 15 2012 MacBook Pro only shipped with 4GB of RAM. I constantly had issues with slow performance and software crashes (I’m a video editor). But, the moment I installed this 16GB RAM set from Crucial, I noticed much more reliable performance and increased speeds while using applications ranging from video editing apps (Media Composer, Premiere and FCPX – I use them all) to simple text apps and browsers. Since installing the additional RAM, I also installed a 240GB Crucial SSD and now my MacBook Pro is like a new animal screaming with speed and performance across all apps. I chose Crucial because I used them previously and never had a problem. Installing the max RAM on your computer is a crucial update for any serious computer user – and it’s also extremely easy to do yourself. BTW – B&H always has the best prices and service anywhere. Couldn’t be happier.

Our Mac Mini has always been sluggish. I ran Mac OS X Server on it, and that was slow. I have a users always logged in with iTunes open to share with our Apple TV and also let the kids login with their own account for school work. It was always slow for every thing. We were running an “upgraded” 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to 16 GB with two of these 8 GB sticks, the computer still runs all the same stuff, but is super snappy and responsive. One of the best purchases I’ve made.

My ram was lost in the mail and after several days, on a Friday, I contacted customer service. They scheduled a new package to be sent out on the next Monday. Of course, it was delivered in Saturday’s mail, a week + after its expected arrival. I dashed out a message to stop the new shipment, but figured they wouldn t see it until Monday, but I got a speedy reply that they were happy the original finally got there and cancelled the new one. This was at the height of the Christmas rush. Great Company to deal with. I highly reccomend and they were reccomended to me by the guy at the Apple Genius Bar. Thst says something.

I installed this two weeks ago on my brand new retina iMac and it works flawlessly. Much better deal than buying from Apple.

My daughter’s Mac was hanging periodically. After all the usual voodoo, I suspected a faulty RAM module. Replaced both SIMMs with this one and it’s been fine ever since.

Good product + Good price = Great result. Nothing negative to say.

I installed these DIMM’s in a QNAP TS-251+. They were somewhat difficult to install in the unit – the access screws were tiny, and the working space tight. It took about a half hour. The unit started without a problem and recognized the 8GB immediately. I don’t really see a performance increase, but I may not be running applications which make use of the additional RAM. Four stars because it works. Minus one because I really can’t see any difference, but I doubt whether that’s related to the DIMMs.
