I ordered an iMac with Retina Display from B&H with 8GB of memory. Rather than paying $ for the Apple iMac version with 32GB I ordered the B&H 32GB Crucial Bundle. I saved a bundle – over half the cost of the Apple memory. You have to install 4 8GB of memory into each slot. The installation of memory in the new iMacs is really easy. You do have to replace the 2 4GB installed memory sticks that come with the iMac. The new iMac Retina 5K screams with 32GB of memory. I edit huge photo and video files and it is such a difference with more memory.

Took the MacBook Pro from 8 to 16GB and was MUCH cheaper to do this way than buy the upgrade from Apple. Simply pulled the old out and slipped in the new and now I have more RAM for PhotoShop to work with.

Though not officially supported by Synology, this memory matches the technical requirements of the DS1515+ NAS, which comes with 2GB from the factory, with another empty memory slot. Installation is not difficult, but a flashlight and small mirror will help with replacement of the original memory module, which is accessed from within the (empty) drive bay space. The 2nd memory slot is accessible by merely removing the NAS cover.

Not much to say except it’s iMac compatible memory for far less than the Apple branded stuff. I used it to upgrade my late 2013 27 iMac from 16GB to 32GB. The modules install in a snap (literally and figuratively) and that’s all there is to it. Performance increase was immediately noticeable in processing large RAW files. Worth every penny.
