I waited for just over a month to review and now I can say, with-out reservation that I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. I’ve used it every day to cook lunches and dinners, including home-made soups, stews, fried and deep-fried foods and all have been a pleasure. I am a renter, and the 1970s electric stove that came with the flat stopped working. Replacing the stove was not a viable option but I needed a cook-top. I’d gotten another brand at less cost and not only did it take 45 minutes to bring water to a boil, it took considerably longer to cook even pasta. I returned it and added the extra money to purchase this Cuisinart burner and immediately noticed the difference. It’s also reduced my electric bill considerably, yet with-out costing me more in time and effort. It’s also easy to keep clean with a damp cloth after use and and occasional wipe with a common window cleaner. After a month of daily use, it still looks as it did when I received it. Again, one of my best investments ever. I’m in no rush to replace the stove now.
