I’m very pleased with this burner! My stove gave out and I needed something immediately for cooking. So far as heating is concerned, when I put my tea kettle on the burner, the tea kettle whistle blows BEFORE the ready green light comes on! This works for me!

I’m a candle maker and purchased this item to melt wax instead of using my cooking stove. I like the two burners and the quickness of the heating process. I would have given this review a 5 if it were not for the imbalance of the unit when set on a stable flat surface.

Bought this for a makeshift kitchen in the basement during our kitchen redo. We’ve had to adjust our expectations a bit, because it’s not as powerful as a cooktop. If you give the burners time to heat up, they’re fine. Keep a lid on the pan on the smaller unit to assist to bring to boil, otherwise it takes quite a while. Nice design and easy to keep clean, and is serving it’s purpose. Will keep it to use for potlucks and cookouts after our redo is complete.

The first one only partially functional, and the replacement has cosmetic scratches. Is a little slow in heating up, but gets there if you’re patient. Handle carefully, scratches easily. My biggest criticism is that the knobs should lock at the off position with a push and turn release. It is nearly impossible to clean without turning those knobs, and I prefer to not unplug the unit as the outlet is hard to reach. I’d pay more for this feature, but for safety reasons, they should all have knobs that require a push to unlock from off.

Very convenient to use and heats up quickly. Small counter footprint. Great in lieu of a conventional stovetop, ie: having kitchen redone and need a way to cook. FYI: hot plates take a while to cool off.

Quality sturdy hot plate. One burner has a higher wattage and will boil water no problem. Other burner is more for simmering. Indicator light goes on when burner is turned on which is nice. Each plate has it’s own controller. Used many times and highly satisfied with performance. Easy to clean.

Excellent for electric burners once you learn how to use it. Cooking on these burners is different from gas burners in that there is a latency period to heat up; you have to remove from the burners completely when finished cooking since heating elements remain hot for a long time afterwards. Also, for safety purposes, you should unplug when not in use.

Attractive and functional counter top great for cooking in a small or medium sized sauce pan or covered pot. The larger burner takes awhile to heat up, but most cooking doesn’t require the highest setting of 5……as 3 works quite well. The burners themselves are made up of cast iron which provides an even heat to the bottom of the pan or pan. The stainless steel allows for a quick clean.

My bldg’s gas has been off for a year, had to learn to cook on these burners (I NEED TO SEE A FLAME!). The first one I bought died after 6 months. Bought a second one, ok so far. Annoying not to be able to pre-heat a burner without a pot on it, maddening not to be able to turn heat down quickly. I pre-heat burner using a pot with water in it…Lots of planning necessary.

I bought two sets of these and use them daily. I love the burners are covered and have a cast iron covering. They are more efficient than the burners on my stove. The cook things quickly and efficiently.

Was just the thing when the family was over for the holidays, and I needed more than 4 burners. Worked like a charm.

First of all, it matches my Cuisinart Toaster-Oven (the Third one that I have purchased. (I have an extremely small apartment and they made a Cooking Closet from the large walk-in!)I am extremely happy with the separate burner – 1300 burner for the large pots and pans and the small one 500 watt and I can use both at once with the separate controls. And you will laugh: I have any Cuisinart pots and a wonderful knife with holder the right size with someone with Arthritis – guess you can say I am a Fan of Cuisinart.
