Looks great, works great… if you have enough time. I got on my way somewhere and realized I had accidentally left it turned on to boil a pot of water. After circling back in a panic, I returned just in time to find that it had not yet started boiling. This was a good 20 minutes. To bring a pot of water to a boil…. almost. This was a pretty good sized pot on the smaller burner (heater). The larger burner works very well. One thing to look out for is that it does not cool down very quickly, so anything that begins to scorch should not be placed on the eye again within maybe 5 minutes of the eye being turned off. I do recommend this product, though I understand that a 3 star rating is not the best.

This is a well designed double burner electric hot plate. Although the larger burner gets quite hot, the smaller burner is really better for warming food, not cooking.

This little double hot plate has been a life saver! Our stove and oven went on the blink just as the pandemic hit in March–and we still haven’t had our new appliance installed (long story). This little double burner, a convection toaster oven and a microwave have gotten me through. I enjoy cooking adventurous meals so this double hot plate has been used A LOT! Except for rust that has developed on the cast iron elements–and soot flaking off–it’s held up well to hours of daily use. I do wish that there was a model with two full sized burners because the smaller burner is not very powerful. (If I use it, I usually get the pan started on the larger burner first then move it over.) However, that being said, overall this has been an excellent purchase!

I use my cook top outside next to my BBQ gas grill. I can cook two vegetables and also watch the meat on the grill. The cook top is away from the heat of the grill.
