The Cuisinart Egg Central appliance has a new two-tiered cooking system that allows ten eggs to be cooked at once. Eggs can be cooked to a hard, medium or soft consistency. The egg cooker also comes with removable trays that can be used to poach eggs and make omelets. Cooking time is controlled precisely by the amount of water added. Fill included measuring beaker to the appropriate range and pour water into cooking plate. The Built-in LED light, audible alert and standby mode help guard against overcooking. All egg favorites can be made in one compact unit.

This the only manufacturer that had a metal cover that steams the eggs. The water measuring cup was fairly accurate, but I like my poached eggs less well done, and use less water then the beaker says. Everything works as advertised, and I got this to fry fewer things. The omelettes are fluffy and easy to make.

The egg cooker worked well once I read other reviews. The instructions indicate pierce the top end of the egg prior to putting into egg cooker. The end that needs to be pierced is the wider end not the smaller end which some of us would consider the “top” of the egg. Also my water beaker which has the piercing tool on the bottom was without the piercer, only the plastic sleeve the piercer would normally be inside of!

Daughter had one of these when I visited her out of state…it is awesome! She sent me one for Christmas 2019, used it until February 2020. Stopped working, tried to call Cuisinart phone number and after 55 minutes on hold, I gave up. Decided to purchase another one, which I should not have had to do, obviously, having only owned it for 2 months. Anyway, this is such a wonderful addition to my kitchen, the hard boiled eggs turn out perfectly and the shells peel off perfectly,

Looks like it has all the bells and whistles that you want in an egg cooker. It is missing two important features. First is auto-shutoff when the water has boiled off and the eggs are cooked. It sounds off that it is done but you have to manually turn the unit off. Not very safe. Second all the accessories do not fit inside. The water cup is too big to fit in with the other accessories. Not really space saving. Also the poached egg pan is small and difficult to get the cooked egg out, even when greased.
