The Cuisinart Egg Central appliance has a new two-tiered cooking system that allows ten eggs to be cooked at once. Eggs can be cooked to a hard, medium or soft consistency. The egg cooker also comes with removable trays that can be used to poach eggs and make omelets. Cooking time is controlled precisely by the amount of water added. Fill included measuring beaker to the appropriate range and pour water into cooking plate. The Built-in LED light, audible alert and standby mode help guard against overcooking. All egg favorites can be made in one compact unit.

The Egg Central works perfect every time. We have highly treated public water, tried it with filtered tap water and it still left a residue. Too assure it stays like new you really need to use distilled water.

Does a great job cooking poached and little omelets – it has a blue light when you tune it on and self timer. The light and timer have stopped working after only 2 months so I have to watch it and set my own timer

I primarily wanted it to use this for hard boiled eggs and to make poached eggs. So far I have used it only for hard boiled eggs and it delivers, however, it took me five attempts to get it right. Piercing the egg was difficult at first with the cup/pin until I figured it out (pierce the wider end of the egg on the top and remove the clear plastic covering on the pin)…also clean unit with White Vinegar after use on the water heating plate and you will be fine. Am looking forward to making poached eggs for eggs benedict and if that works out, I will be at 100% with this product.

Cooked hard boiled eggs perfectly, but do not use the egg piercer supplied to pierce eggs. Use a needle instead ( I store it in the measuring cup to keep it handy). Have not used the other features yet. You may have to adjust the water level to cook the amount of eggs you require. All in all I’m very happy with this egg cooker.
