This was my second CUISINART electronic knife. The handle is not ergomic. You must hold the top button down with your thumb the entire time you are cutting To keep the motor running. Very painful for my arthritic thumb joint. Found one with an on/off switch, much better design.

We wanted to replace a unit that we’ve owned for several decades and thought that this was the answer. It was to some degree, but left much to be desired. It cuts wonderfully. Unfortunately, the handle is too big around making it difficult for either my wife or myself to manipulate safely. In addition, we have found that the housing gets rather warm while carving something as simple as a turkey. We’ve purchased several Cusinart products over the years and have been pleased up until this purchase. For this reason we will need to find an electric carving knife that better suits our requirements.

We purchased this knife to replace an ancient knife that finally “gave up the ghost”. Should have done this years ago! I was worried that this new model did not have a separate bread blade but this combination blade handles meat and sort baked bread wonderfully. Much more powerful than it’s size would infer, but if your hands are very small, it may be unwieldy.

I love the way it works. It give a nice thin cut when slicing the turkey. The only negative is that it doesn’t stand up. It keeps slipping down. It would be nice if there was a way to hang it up.
