This is at least the third one of this model we’ve purchased over the last approximately 14 years and we will continue to do so as long as the company continues to make them. Why? because we love the fact that it makes hot water for tea right along with coffee. No other company seems to think this is a good idea. A few quirks in one or two, (the top tended to leak water when trying to fill the water cell in one ) but it makes good coffee and plenty of hot water.

This is second time we purchased this same model. when the first model started leaking, went ahead and bought it again. Love the option to make hot water for tea. I would have hoped the first one would have lasted longer, but we got about 5 years out of it. Not too bad.

I like coffee, he likes tea. This dual appliance is perfect for us. It is easy to use, well made and we are enjoying it. My only critique and the reason for 4 stars not 5 is because the blue light that remains on when you auto program your coffee for the morning is as bright as a nightlight in your kitchen all night and the notification when your coffee is done brewing beeps way too loudly.

I like the convenience of the hot water availability and the coffee machine is easy to use. The water that comes out of the hot water maker tastes like plastic though even after several uses or it will taste slightly like coffee even when you haven’t run the coffee side for a bit. Sometimes the coffee side has that plastic taste too.

After using both the coffee maker & hot water, I have to say I would not purchase this with the hot water system again. There is no water level indicator for that side & tea doesn’t taste the same when made with water from the machine. I also don’t like that the digital clock doesn’t light up. That should be a no brainer feature. The clock can be difficult to read for that reason.

It works well but the coffee temperature is super hot even at the lowest setting. We both notice that the coffee is way too hot! Other than that, it is a nice unit though the plastic is much cheaper, looking anyway, than the plastic on our previous Cuisinart.
