This is our third Cuisinart coffeemaker (same model). It is reliable and certainly fulfills our needs. One minor issue is that when pouring the initial cup the lid tends to leak some coffee, but we have learned how to deal with that.

I love my coffee & hot water system. The only problem I have found is that the reservoir for the coffee is on the left side making it difficult to use the pot to fill reservoir. (It’s to bulky) So I use a measuring cup to control the pour.

I love the versatility of this coffee/hot water system. A quick “cup of tea” where the hot water temperature is perfect! I truly do ‘set and forget’ and then am pleasantly surprised while I’m busy doing other things that there’s this delicious aroma of coffee coming from my kitchen! You do have to watch that you pour coffee from the decanter carefully otherwise every now and then, I find that mine drips down the outside of the decanter, even with the lid correctly fitted. I would definitely recommend this system.

This is a replacement for same model purchased about 2.5 years ago. It overheated and melted the plastic surrounding the warming plate. Also damaged said warming plate. Bought the Square Trade Warranty with that one and they responded to my claim with a refund. Love the features on this model, so I’m buying it again. Cannot do without the hot water reservoir for making tea!

The coffeemaker is a perfect fit for us, literally. It just fits under the upper cabinet. it makes great coffee and quickly–not as quickly as a Bunn, but I didn’t want a heating element kicking on 24 hour a day just to get faster coffee. Besides, with the Cuisinart pause and pour system, you’re literally just seconds away from your first cup.When I was comparing reviews, it seems that everyone complained about the temperature of the warming plate. This model solves that problem with 3 heat levels. So far, I find medium to be perfect .

We bought this same model in 2004 and have been using it every since. We use distilled water and have only cleaned the grounds basket and the carafe. The warming plate was cracking is why we replaced it. At my age, I’ll probably never have to buy another coffee maker.

Excellent coffee maker with one drawback , no back light on clock which makes it very difficult to read as the numbers are black and the back ground is dark grey. Older models had a blue back light which made the clock numbers more visible both in day and night veiwing. Helps when your trying to tell time or programming.

After much deliberation, we settled on this model to replace our older model grind and brew that finally kicked the bucket. While it makes good coffee, and the hot water on demand is certainly a nice feature, I do have a few issues with the machine. 1) The ‘low’ hot plate setting still burns the coffee – I was expecting the low setting to be more mellow…can’t imagine how hot the medium and hot settings are and will never use them; 2) The coffee is absolutely piping hot after brewing – generally a good thing but other buyers may want to be aware; 3) It’s difficult to fill with water due to small openings in the top of the water tank; 4) The beep to alert you that the brew cycle is complete is obnoxiously loud and sounds like a speaker with a blown tweeter – wish we could turn that off; 5) Be sure to open the filter compartment to allow the massive amount of condensation to dry after each brew. 6) The machine materials just feel cheap and I’m not confident this will last me 7+ years like our old machine. I tried everything to resuscitate our grind and brew to no avail. We loved that machine but Cuisinart does not build those like they used to when it comes to quality. This model will work for now but if I could do it all over, I probably would not buy this machine.
