I loved the cooker, but it’s just too small for my family, so I need to return it.

I am retired and doing most of the cooking now. I am loving experimenting and cooking with the pressure pot. Everything has turned out wonderful. Because it cooks so fast, it makes planning and prep so quick and easy. I love the simplicity of the controls and do not miss all the auto features of other brands. I have used all the settings – hi and low pressure, browning, saute, simmer, keep warm.

I bought my Cuisnart pressure cooker a month ago. Since I purchased it I used it to make pork chili for my wife and I. It really made the cubed pork shoulder extremely tender. My wife stated it was the best pork chili I had made.

The pressure cooker does not cook as I expected, and, it seems to take longer to heat up and pressure to build up when cooking. Twice it has cut off when I added the meat after sauteing of vegetables and sealed the lid. I read the trouble shooter and it said you should turn off the heat for a few minutes to allow the saute’ setting to cool down before cooking the rest of the recipe items; or it has a safety shutoff. I am assuming this is what happened. Next, I turned the pot off for a third time, let the steam out, which was very little steam, removed the lid then meat and waited. Returned it to the pot and added vegetables and it still kept cutting off. It took well over two hours to finally remove the turkey breast from the pot and finish it in the oven. It was not very tender after all this process. I did have good success with making beef stew and a beef pot roast. For the pot roast I let the pressure cool almost completely before removing the lid and adding vegetables to cook with it. It also seems to lose a lot of steam as it heats, and the clear plastic steam catcher on the back has been full of liquid, and the pot nearly dry. I had to add more liquid to finish cooking. Steam escapes from the lid for most of the heat up time, and we have checked and rechecked its assembly before beginning the cooking process again. The red indicator did pop up on this try, but never seemed to do very well on the above experience. I followed directions in the book explicitly. I did add a little more liquid than recipes called for, by 1/4 cup, just because we like the liquid. The pot was not overfilled at all.I suppose it takes a little practice to get used to using and electric pressure cooker; but I have been cooking all my life with a stove top pressure cooker, but found this electric cooker to be more trouble than I anticipated. Now for the positive: The inner pot cleans up easily and perfectly. Wiping the edges of the part of the main pot is usually all you need, mild detergent then rinse, since it is not immersible. The lid is a little tricky but cleans up pretty well after taking it apart. The pot itself is very attractive and is heavy enough that it would be impossible to accidently turn it over, seems durable in construction.Being totally honest about the product, I would probably return it for a refund if it were possible. I use a stove top pressure cooker from time to time. Maybe in time I will find my forte’ in using an electric pressure cooker.Thank you so much for your review of my customer rating. I wish I could have given a 5 start rating, but I’m just not satisfied.

I have had a 50 year old pressure cooker and use to use all the time but not in a long time. Remembering how wonderful the food was we acquired the Cuisinart and absolutely love it. Artichoke took 6 minutes (once the pressure built up, which wasn’t long) and russet potato took 8 minutes. So while i’m doing these 2 items, my husband is air frying the pork chops. What a combination. Better than the old one for sure…..does a lot more.

I bought this Pressure Cooker in November. Always wanted this product, but never had one before. So I was a little nervous using it the first time. I checked out U-Tube to be sure I was using it correctly. I have now made two dishes in it and I am looking forward to making more. So easy to use and the foods come out perfectly.

I LOVE my electric pressure cooker. It is easy to handle, use and clean up. As we are empty nesters I wondered how much I would use it. So far, I have used it nearly every day and sometimes twice a day.
