Completely different that the old ones I’ve used for years. Had to adjust my quantities of oil/popcorn but now I love it! Better build quality & easier clean up! I do recommend!

This is my second Cuisinart Popcorn maker. My previous one lasted 10 years or more. In fact it still works but I broke off one of the clips that holds the middle to the bottom. The new popcorn maker has a smooth rounded top clear part. This is much easier to clean that the last version. The stirrer moves the kernels around and reverses direction to be sure no kernels are left on an edge. Virtually every kernel pops! The old Cuisinart popcorn maker was great and the new one, even better!

I bought this about 6 months ago and it’s working like a charm! Based on reviews, and past experience with an older model, I remove the top carefully and am sure everything is lined up when I re-insert. That way the plastic parts seem to last a long time. Easy cleaning of everything (except the base) in the dishwasher–another great feature.

Very happy with the Cuisinart 16 Cup Popcorn Maker. I’ve made about 8 full servings. Almost all the kernels popped. Fun to use, easy clean up. I like it so much, I bought another one as a gift.

Pops all the kernels and does not burn them. Cleans up nicely. I had an older version and could not put the hotplate in the water, the new version only the base has any electrical connections, everything else can be submersed in water.

We enjoy making our own popcorn now. There are a few items that could use improvement, but are not detrimental to its use.

This is my second one of these. It makes great popcorn. My first one worked well until a plastic tooth on the hot plate came apart. Still we were so happy with the product we bought the second one.

This is my third one. And the little clips keep breaking that holds the top heating plate on the base. But I really like the way it works.

Seemed to work well but we had a lot of unpopped kernels. Not sure if we stopped the machine too soon but they didn’t seem to be popping any more and we didn’t want to burn what was done.

Trying this one to replace a West Bend Stir Crazy that had begun to leave many unpopped kernels and to leak too much oil. This one can leak too so follow the instructions to use no more than a tablespoon of oil. I prefer olive oil but the instructions say no, switch to a higher temp oil like canola. The Cuisinart seems to get hotter so be sure to remove the popcorn when popping stops or you’ll get some burning, i.e. don’t leave it unattended. It does pop almost every kernel every time (so far)! The removable and washable popping base is a real plus as is the very sturdy clear plastic bowl. Overall, the Cuisinart seems well made. I hope it will last me a while as I use it almost every day!
