I bought this coffee maker to replace the Cuisinart DCC–1200, which I had for many years and worked well, but finally died.I researched a number of the pour-over “showerhead” coffee makers, and decided to try one with this feature hoping it would enhance the flavor of my coffee.I’m not a coffee connoisseur like my friend who roasts his own beans, but I do have a pretty good pallet, and enjoy complex dark roast blends. I was pleasantly surprised with the improvement in flavor from the first use. My experience is that the flavor is more robust, smoother and we’ll-rounded than what my previous Cuisinart produced.I like the ability to choose the temperature and intensity of flavor settings. “Hot” and “Bold”work best for me, and I’m sure others would be happy that other options are available (Mild and Medium).I hate burnt tasting coffee, so I also like the ability to adjust how long the hot plate stays on; you can choose from 1 to 60 minutes.Settings are simple and user-friendly.I make only 4 cups at a time, and it works great for smaller brews.

The coffee maker does a fine job, but it is a pour over style machine. Because of this the the coffee grind is very important. If you use a grind a bit finer than you’d use for an auto drip machine you will have delicious coffee.

I read the reviews on pour over coffee machines before deciding on the Cuisinart PurePrecision. It was simply the best by and had Cuisinarts reputation behind it. It replaced an earier model Cuisinart, DCC-1200. That was my goto coffee maker for several years, but when I read the reviews on the pour overs I started to look. Cuisinart coffee machine make good coffee but the PurePrecision makes the best, hands down!

This coffee maker is just right. It makes good coffee, it is hot and stays hot in the carafe thermos, it doesn’t leak like others I have had in the past, it’s fast, and quiet. It is an 8 cup maker, which is four good sized mugs of coffee which is all I need. On occasion I make a second pot. I have only one minor complaint and that is the lid for the water reservoir flips open on the wrong side for me as I am right-handed. If it was hinged to open right to left or front to back, the lid wouldn’t be in my way to pour in the water. But it’s a minor thing and I work around it.

We LOVE this coffee pot! We’ve had a Keurig forever and have tried other coffee pots but never cared for them. I was so happy to find a coffee pot that we actually both love! It makes a perfect cup of coffee and it has all the bells and whistles. I highly recommend this coffee pot!

This machine is approved by the Specialty Association of America. The default settings meet their criteria. It does have three brew settings and two heat settings. We prefer the high heat and bold settings. Our only complaint is the carafe. It doesn’t keep the coffee hot more than one hour. After that, the taste just isn’t as good. That’s our only complaint. So enjoy a great cup of joe within the first hour.

Makes good coffee. What I don’t like is the hot plate turns off rather quickly so you have a cold pot of coffee after you get your first cup. Second, the capacity is a bit small. I think I would have preferred a single cup brewer over this 8 cup capacity as then you have to wash out the grounds
