First, I was shopping by price! I was pleasantly surprised to see the Cuisinart name in this price range. Admittedly, near the top of the range, but still… The toaster feels sturdy and well built. I love the feature that allows you to set specifically for bagels and English muffins. My wife loves the “toast/defrost” feature, as she keeps her bread in the freezer. The benefit of the “lift” ability really helps when toasting smaller items. All in all, great toaster; for almost any price, ALMOST!

I’ve used the toaster only a few times since purchase but is so much better than my old toaster. You can regulate the darkness of the toast which I have been experimenting with but found 4 seemed to cover most bread. In addition, it has the extra settings like “bagels” which I recently used for toaster waffles, the deep dish kind, and turned out crispy outside but soft inside. So far it has been a good product.

Does what a toaster is supposed to do. My only complaint is that I got it as a “Wide Slot” toaster for bagels and it was slightly less wide than my previous toaster. That said, most bagels will fit. The Brooklyn NY baked ones I get are big, beefy authentic style, not the pale imitations in most groceries.

I’d give this toaster a higher rating because it’s a great toaster for toast. Unfortunately, the bagel setting does not change the toaster function at all—same level of toasting on both sides of the bagel as on regular toast.
