After a couple of attempts, I figured out the correct setting (for my liking) of perfectly toasted bread. This toaster is great. The extra wide openings and the booster lever make getting bread in and out very easy. I also like the easy to pull out and clean crumb tray. I would rebuy and recommend this product.

Works like a toaster should. A little uneven for single toast (less bread to absorb heat from empty side). But uneven toast is not really a concern for me.

Great toaster for the price!!! Bought for 88-year-old mom to use in her assisted-living apartment and she LOVES it !!! Passed up other pricier toasters to get this one which advertised lifting up smaller items to grab without any tongs or fork or whatever and the feature works GREAT !!! Mom can easily take out her (very small) French-bread-toast and EVERYTHING is toasted so evenly !!!Imagine, someone making a product that works and does exactly what it promises to do.

Toasts well but no tension on the level of darkness dial. It falls lower each time the toast pops up. You have to make sure you reset it before you toast again.

After reading a very positive review for this toaster on Wirecutter (they called it “the best toaster for most people” and noted that it was just $30 and available at, of all places, Home Depot), I came straight here and ordered one. So far, I can see why Wirecutter was so impressed…and it toast much more evenly than our previous toaster (GE) did. Too bad it wasn’t carried in stock but, all in all, it wasn’t hard to order and have shipped to the store.

We owned an earlier version of this Cuisinart toaster. For many years it functioned just fine. Recently it started to put off some funny smells while operating. Cleaning the crumbs out did not really help so we decided to replace. Looking at all the options we chose Cuisinart again. This time I actually read the instructions and learned that if you select “bagel” setting it adds extra time to English muffins and wheat bread eliminating the need to toast for two cycles. It seems this new model does toast more evenly, too. If this lasts as long as our previous model Cuisinart toaster, it will be a bargain.
