   This is a quality, solid toaster. Has all the features you want. It evenly toasts all kinds of bread and bagels. This toaster is a big upgrade for me and well worth it.

   Design and materials fit perfectly with the rest of my kitchen decor. Functionally, I really like the defrost feature and the fact that the slots are wide enough to accomodate thick slices of bread. Plus, I trust the Cuisinart brand.

   Slots don’t accommodate different bread sizes! Temp controls seem cheap and too loose.

   This toaster toasts very evenly. Easy to use. Slots are wide enough. Sides of toaster stays cool to touch.

   So far so good with my new 4 slice metal classic toaster! I’m still getting used to the correct temperature settings because I use lots of different kinds of bread but always use toasted bread. It’s easy to push down the knobs, and easy to set the different settings ie: bagels, reheat, defrost, etc.

   Does not toast evenly. Control knobs are very loose and difficult to see the settings. Will not accommodate anything but a standard size slice of bread so anything longer/wider must be cut to fit. Not what we would have expected from Cusinart. Had our last Cusinart toaster for more than 20 years. The new will not last nearly that long.

   I have high standards for the quality of cuisinart products due to the substantially higher price to other brands. The temperature and pull down knobs feels flimsy and looks cheap. I appreciate you do not need a heavy hand, but expect some resistance to be confident it will endure daily use. I do not see any difference between the function of this toaster than our previously owned Hamilton Beach black chrome 4 slice toaster. It worked very well for 15 years and felt/looked better constructed than this cuisinart model.

    I like the features this toaster has. It’s drawbacks to me are the darkness dials feel like they are just spinning and not connected to anything. I wish that when the toast popped up the ejection was stronger. It seems it barely gets it pushed up.

    Absolutely love it. It toasts great The outside of the machine does not get hot which is nice for handling. There is a release on the lever so you can easily lift the toast up higher to grab it. Is very attractive and low profile

    We love our new Cuisinart toaster! Our old 4-slice toaster was very erratic, sometimes burning the bread slices and the next time barely warming them. Unlike our old toaster, this one even feels well made. In comparison, our old toaster was very lightweight–this toaster is sturdy…it has some “heft” to it. Most importantly, it toasts bread, bagels, etc. beautifully and uniformly.

    I really like this toaster. It’s convenient to do 4 slices at a time and the size is adequate for bagels. The controls are easy to use and it’s aesthetically pleasing. My only reason for deducting one star is the fact that the “frozen” button didn’t really do anything special. The strudel still had to be put in for two cycles.

    This Toaster is great! Its toast evenly. The bagel option is why we bought it and it did not disappoint. The thaw option is great for frozen pancakes or waffles. And, its a beautiful toaster.
