Starts off hot. Suggest your first toast setting is midpoint . Does a good even job of toasting. Wide and long toast openings are great. Does not raise bread very high. You have to jiggle to get bread to stick out of toaster.

I’ve gone through so many. They were all “junk” they lasted no more than 12-14 months. They were flimsy in weight and build. Cuisinart is all quality and the metal is not flimsy tin! Its the BEST Toaster that I have ever owned. It toasts exceptionally well. You will Not be disappointed!

Nice long and wide slots. Toasting evenly on both sides of bread. At first the push down lever took quite a bit of “pressure” to get it to click in and stay down but after using the toaster a few times it seems to click in and stay down without using much pressure. It looks very nice and is easy to clean fingerprints off the surface.

doesn’t stay down – have to push the lever down sometimes repeatedly to get it to stick. top surface already degrading after 2 months.

Really like how this toaster toasts every type and size of bread. Also, very easy to clean and looks great! Definitely would recommend this toaster. The quality is very good and very easy to use … don’t even need instructions … plug into outlet and toast away!

Doesn’t evenly toast. Disappointing given the price.

We have been using our new The Bakery Artisan Bread Toaster for a couple of months now,. We are very happy so far with it’s quality and performance. It is solidly built and easy to use. We have toasted from 2 to 6 slices of various breads with good results.

I think it’s a great toaster! It works great with different size bread I like sourdough/soda bread.

It’s a beautiful toaster but you can’t push the toast up high enough to grab it comfortably after it’s ready. It doesn’t toast evenly and sounds really cheap and tinny when it pops up or down. A lot of negatives going on for something so expensive.

Extra long toaster slots to fit different size items; Works well & looks good too

This toaster takes a lot of counter space and puts out a lot of heat. Place it somewhere safe before you turn it on, like the top of the stove and with plenty of overhead clearance. Other than those precautions, it is an excellent kitchen tool for those long and thick slices of bread from Panera or your local artisanal bakery. It toasts two sliced bagels perfectly. I store mine out of the way on a cookie tray in the oven, until needed. Just remember it is there when you use the oven.

I looked online at too many toasters to count. Read the reviews. I’m so glad I decided on this one. It does it all perfectly. The toast takes longer than your average toaster, but that’s because it’s done perfectly through and through. Bagels are done the way it says they’ll be done. And now I can toast or warm slices of those delicious artisan bread loaves for sandwiches or whatever. Just wonderful—bread heaven! (PS: I was concerned it would look like the Titanic on my counter, but it’s actually quite streamlined.)

I like the long slots-bakery bread finally fits in a toaster. However the lever does not stay down easily. I have to push it two or three times to make it stay down.

It looks good, it arrived good and it works good.

We bought this toaster to replace one we have had 15-20 years. My wife wanted a 4 slice toaster and I didn’t want something that big on the counter. This was a compromise as it can do 4 slices and is more compact than most. I am the one who uses it the most and find it very disappointing that we still cannot depend on getting a toaster that will get both sides done the same darkness. I find it very surprising this is a problem since this unit has a bagel setting and directions on which way to insert the bagel so the cut side is actually warmed to a different darkness than the uncut side. This is not a cheap toaster but it seems to perform like one.
