I love the wide and long slots. Plus I can get toast suited to the individual from light to dark toasty!

This toaster is average, which is pretty good for toasters made today. I have found no toasters that toast evenly. This is a little above average. It’s too bad that you have to pay this much for average performance. The best thing about it is the longer and wider slots for different types of bread.

Our new Artisan toaster is easy to use and is very precise in its toasting. It is also a beautiful toaster.

It took me 2 years of searching to find the toaster closest to the old Cuisinart we used for over a decade. No toaster is perfect, but this is the best we have tried for a reasonable price. Does bagels and artisan breads quite well. Did not want chrome, but had to settle. Hope it lasts as long as the last one!

I bought this toaster because of the four slice of bread slot. I also like the extra lift so that you can reach the toast, muffin or bagel easily. Also I trust the Cuisinart name.

very nice, good quality toaster and it fits bagels and has a setting for bagels which is great.

I love the Artisan toaster. It is long enough and wide enough to toast without any problem. One recommendation is to start at lower toasting time to prevent burnt toast.

Doesn’t toast both sides of bread evenly, even at the highest setting. Love the long opening for oversized slices of Italian bread. Works pretty well on bagels.

Love the size of the toaster. Sides get very hot so be careful but the front part stays cool. Only potential negative side is the bread always toast, it is crisp, but he color is not necessarily always the same color each time. Very minor issue if one even at all. Would buy again.

A solid 3.5 out of 5. Well worth the price. A few minor gripes : 1) the buttons placed on the end of the unit instead of on the front 2) the button positions are not intuitive and are not marked on the front of the unit, so one is always craning one’s head around to see the small print on the end of the unit which identifies them– the defrost, bagel and re-heat selectors should be in that order, top–to-bottom; 3) the crumb tray is quite shallow and needs very frequent disposal; 4) The instructions require you to fully depress the lever BEFORE selecting the appropriate button(s). As is common in most toasters I’ve had, if you like your toast well-done you will mostly have to put the darkness selector near the upper end of its range on dense breads. Having 2 long slots is a huge plus, as is the feature which toasts the cut side of bagels more than the out-sides. Slices of very large artisanal loaves, like eastern European ” farmer’s ryes ” will still not be fully accommodated, but this is a household appliance, not an industrial one. This unit replaced a long single slot Sunbeam which did yeoman’s duty for many years but could not toast 2 pieces of rye bread simultaneously without overlapping them — now not a problem. Overall, quite sufficient for my needs .

It is a nice toaster. It toasts nicely and evenly without burning and the longer slots are great for sourdough bread and other “longer” breads we need to toast. We’ve had it for several months with no problems at all.

My wife likes her artisan bread toasted so this was what she wanted.

I like a toaster, the pop-up kind, but not the basic. I need a long slot for artisan breads and a wide slot for bagels. My old toaster, while not ideal, served this purpose respectfully, but it was worn out and falling apart. My new Cuisinart seems to meet/exceed all of my requirements. Not complicated, very functional, and easy to use. Everything I was looking for, couldn’t be happier.

So far so good. This toaster replaced a single long slice Cuisinart toaster that lasted about 10 years. It was a great toaster and I was sad to see it go. I thought this toaster looked enormous andbulky when it was unpackaged but have since found a good spot for it on the counter and it seems to blend right in. The sourdough bread comes out nicely browned and I love the way it pops up when it is done. As much as l miss the other toaster for its sleek profile, I had to use a chopstick to remove the bread, and I don’t miss that. It appears to be a good choice for anyone who eats artisanal bread at a very reasonable price.

Wanted to love this toaster but had problems with it just not toasting right so can’t really recommend it right now. Toast was never even, Edges were always burned, English Muffins always burned on the edges and never fully cooked in spots. Not all of the wires were lighting up red. At first I thought that was because they only lit up as many as were needed for each level selected. But finally had to accept that it just was not functioning properly. Had to return it and still want this toaster. Contemplating trying purchasing another to see if it was just one bad apple.

Bought this toaster based on testing (Consumer Reports) and reviews that were pretty positive. We wanted a toaster with slots long enough to accommodate wide loaves, as well as bagels, thick slices, etc.

While I still have to turn slices over to achieve even browning, I’m basically very happy with this toaster. It’s great that it takes long slices of bread like sourdough and rye without having to cut the slice in half! Looks great too!

Does a great job of evenly toasting. It would be perfect if toasting selection buttons and lever were on the front instead of on the side.

This toaster does an excellent job on my homemade artisan bread. Wide, long slots can easily handle all my breads. Good looking toaster. Extra cord stays coiled up underneath.
