The toaster works well. It can toast evenly although that can vary with the item being toasted. The frozen bagel I toasted this morning was darker at the top than the bottom. It is stylish and looks good on the countertop. The sole complaint is that the darkness setting is very temperamental. Set it to ‘2’ and the toast can be too light, ‘3’ and too dark. I would never try the max setting.
