I previously had a plastic and metal toaster and was horrified to realize the back side of the toaster had melted due to heat from my nearby oven. I chose this toaster as it is all metal and it does the job beautifully. All breads I have toasted in it to date have come out exactly as I would have wanted and the bread type dial is very easy to use. I also appreciate the lift-up feature on the lever–no more hot fingers trying to extract a smaller piece of bread.

I’m impressed that this toaster doesn’t just put heat the the bread, but seems to customize the toasting effect based on the type of bread selected. So the bagel setting only toasts one side. I was surprised by the improved quality of my toast using this toaster.

Prior to this I have always just obtained an inexpensive toaster believing “it’s just toast.” This item changed my whole attitude towards that statement. Sure it’s just toast if that’s the way you have always had it. This however shown me that bread or waffles are toasted correctly, they are much more enjoyable to have. I would recommend to everyone, don’t short change yourselves by settling for a cheap toaster. Obtain a good one such as this and start to really enjoy toast.

The electric cord is at the front of the toaster and should be set from the rear. That makes for an inconvenient location for the toaster on a table having to reach a wall outlet. Consequently it limits where the toaster can be placed on a table.
