This is so much more than just a rice cooker. It’s easy to make a pilaf and steam vegetables at the same time. I made excellent rice pudding in it. I had an 8 cup version for 10 years. I got spoiled by it. Since my circumstances had changed by the time it broke, I bought the smallest one I could find. It was a 2 cup rice cooker. That’s what made me realize how special the Cuisinart one was. It just didn’t work the same. So, I searched and found that there is a 4 cup version. It works the same just smaller. I am so happy with my purchase.

I love how it cooks evenly. I don’t like that the lid easily falls off. It is not a tight fit. It falls off with the slightest bump or move. I would not buy again because I can’t transport without lid falling off.
