I purchsed the 8 cup rice maker/steamer about 6 weeks ago. I’ve followed the instructions each time and it makes perfect rice, steaming vegetables at the same time. If using frozen vegetables while steaming rice, I’d reduce the amount of water a bit as I found the rice a bit sticky. The coolest feature is that once the rice is ready, the machine turns to a keep warm feature. My only disappointment is that the steamer doesn’t have a very big capacity. I can cook rice for 4 -6 people but the veggies only feed 2 – 3.

This rice cooker works very well with white rice but I am having trouble cooking whole grains in it. It boils over and makes a mess. I need some suggestions on how to use it with grains that take 40 minutes to cook- not 15.

I like everything about this product, but the plastic knob on the lid cracks eventually and the lid needs replacing. Over the years that I’ve owned it, this has happened repeatedly. This design defect could be avoided if it was made of metal. It’s caused by the repeated heating and cooling of the surrounding materials which, of course, is a result of normal use.
