Old one died-new one is redesigned–I prefer it not be. Having to use 2 hands to get it started is AWKWARD. Are people really so stupid with these that we have to be protected from ourselves???

One star off because it wasn’t simple I thought it was defective until I read the review and did exactly what it said. It was a successful. You have to be careful when you put it into pots or gets over the curtains or clothes. It works better than my blender lol

I first bought a hand-held blender that was another brand and $15 cheaper. The first time I used it I knew I had to return it. I then bought the Cuisinart Smart Stick. The blender motor is quiet and the blade at either speed efficiently blends smoothies, salad dressings and pureed soups. The plastic mixing container that is included is large enough to handle up to 3 cups of liquid. The new model has a safety feature of an extra button to push before one can turn the blender on. This feature surely prevents children from playing with the spinning blade and incurring serious injury.

I had a different hand blender for years and it finally quit. Tried to do without one but decided I needed one. Cuisinart is a good brand and this had a great price. The blender has been fantastic so far. I like that it comes apart. That makes it easier to clean and store. It also makes it longer than my old one so you can really get into a deep pot if needed. The only con is the lock button you need to press to get it started. That may be a requirement now days. I would definitely recommend this.

I was in need of a hand blender to help me with whipping up my winter squash soups. This has done the trick. No complaints.

Works well enough… should have listened to the negative reviews regarding the lock button. It has to be pushed in to turn on then it can be let go of, but any repositioning or pressure taken off the power button requires that you go through the start up proceedure of holding down both buttons at the same time again. This makesmaking the one handed operation awkward.

I love the way it purees my lentil soup. No need for a blender.

Great blender I love Immersion blenders by Cuisinart

I treated myself to this thinking it would make pureeing soups easier, but it’s actually not! I think a blender works much better! It takes a long time to get everything blended! The controls are a little difficult as well!

I love how readily the blender cleans up. I don’t mind that it has a cord. However, unless there is good level of liquid it splatters everywhere. Unless you pour into the plastic cup it would not be workable for gravy. Even the soup I made (and it was a large batch) was too low and splattered everywhere, even on low. It will take some getting used to.

Not as powerful as I thought it would be!!! And that you can only use fir one minute then need to shut down, and restart!

I WISH I HAD BOUGHT ONE EARLIER. I HAVE A BIG BLENDER BUT THIS IS SO MUCH EASIER AND EASIER TO CLEAN UP. I USE IT TO PUREE CHUNKY SALSA, MAKE MILK SHAKES & SMOOTHIES. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE IS SOMETIMES WHEN PRESSING THE BUTTONS THEY STICK.

Works like a charm, no issues with the lock button as some reviews noted.

As we enter fall, I make more pureed soup and this is the best tool to do this. Simple, functional, properly sized. What more could I want? Nothing! This tool does the trick!

I love it simply because it meets all of my expectations.

Blends well without adding air. Safety button a little annoying. Overall a very good product.

I’ve found no faults or problems. Nice safety function 2/switch; easy cleanup! More than adequate power for mayonnaise and, I expect, milk shakes & creamy soups. I recommend!

It works as intended but gets very hot, when it does this it produces an odor of melting plastic. Which makes me feel concerned, but it has not yet broken.

What a handy two-speed blender! Today I made butternut squash soup. I used the blender to pulverize all the ingredients! Excellent soup, especially since the hot soup was so smooth! I have also made creamy mashed potatoes! Such a versatile tool. A big thank you to Cuisinart.
