The product is great. I was unhappy with microwave prepackaged popcorn because of all the chemicals in it. This way I can pop it so that I don’t have any of that on my popcorn. I absolutely love the way it collapses for storage.

As others have said, it does leave some unopposed kernels, maybe as much as 10%. That’s with an inexpensive brand of popcorn. I haven’t tried the expensive brands yet. But it was very important to me to have something compact to store, convenient to access, and to make popcorn that didn’t have the chemicals and fat of bagged microwave popcorn. I did NOT want to deal with an air popper. This collapses and slides right into the cabinet alongside the container of kernels.

So far when I’ve tried using 1/4 cup of popcorn, only about half of it pops. I have been gradually increasing the time I leave it in the microwave and the results remain the same. It seems like the material of the popper really slows down the popping process. Not really impressed.
