We have been quite pleased with both the styling and performance of the wine opener. We make use of the device quite frequently and are very happy with it.We have found that giving the wine bottle a little “twist” once the screw has fully inserted itself helps break the seal between the bottle and cork resulting in a smooth withdrawal of the cork. Without this, sometimes a stubborn cork tends to come apart when the device attempts to withdraw it from the bottle. This is not a problem with the corkscrew but rather a hint to help ensure the cork comes out cleanly.

The opener and charger work really well and I’m not throwing away AA batteries every couple of months…I wish the bottle stop worked better…it loses its seal very quickly…as with all foil cutters, they dull after cutting into the glass…it would be nice to be able get replacement cutters for this item…overall, it’s well worth the purchase.

I bought it to make opening it easier on my arthritic hand but it still needs a strong grip to hold the bottle while the corkscrew does the work. It’s awkward and cumbersome. Only half the time does the cork come out easily.
