The brewed coffee stays warm and does not taste burnt like the DC3400. Pouring water is a little difficult to put into the reservoir. After checking the water temperature several times with an instant read thermometer it only reads at 182 degrees. Would had hope to reach a higher temp.

Everything I knew about the coffeemaker before I got it has been true. I do have one issue and it seems that many other do. I Googled the issue, referencing my issue. That issue is a loud clicking during the brewing time. It would be nice if this could be resolved.

Certainly keeps coffee hot for a long time . . . really hot. But it dribbles when pouring, what a nuisance. I believe the squared-off designed top allows for 12 cup capacity, but impairs the flow when pouring, also requiring turning entirely upside down to empty. Don’t worry, we’re keeping it.

I have used the Cusinart Coffeemakers for years and because I kept breaking the glass carafes, I decided to splurge and switch to the Thermal Coffeemaker. This coffeemaker is pretty much identical as the one with the glass carafe except for when it is time to pour the coffee. As others wrote in their reviews, the lid makes it difficult to pour the coffee into the cup and that is what needs improving on.I find that if I take the lid off to have our coffee, the coffee cools down super fast and if I leave the lid on, you literally have to hold the pot almost upside down to release the coffee. This machine would get 5 stars if that area were improved upon, but at least I’m not breaking any more carafes.Also, it is somewhat difficult to clean the thermal pot as others have pointed out and I need to use a brush to get inside the pot for cleaning.

The carafe needs to be redesigned. There should be a hole on the inside ring leading to the spout. I can never get all the coffee out of the carafe because of this. You literally have to turn the carafe upside down.

The only thing that annoys me about this product is how awkward it is to pour a full 12 cups of water in the reservoir. The area is small and the pot is made in a way that is difficult to pour all of the water out. I’m like the brand. The coffee is made well so I’ll pick my battles!
