There’s a lot to love about this little machine. Obviously compact, I found it to be well built consistent with the Cuisinart brand. The stainless carafe should last longer than glass, which has invariably been the limiting factor for longevity in my prior coffee makers. Its 30 minute shutoff protects brew flavor that might otherwise be spoiled by prolonged heating. It brews quickly and quietly. It accomodates #2 cone filters and keeps them from folding in on themselves. In my previous (different branded) coffeemaker the filters had a tendency to “wilt”, resulting in a failed brew and wasted coffee.My only issue with this Cuisinart coffee maker lies with its carafe design, which does not allow for all the liquid to be poured. A small amount, perhaps a cc or two, is invariably trapped under the rim. With coffee it’s wasted, and the carafe is always wet out of the dishwasher. Otherwise I’ve found this to be an excellent compact coffeemaker.One other thing: I generally leave the top up so the interior can dry out between uses. I can’t help seeing Darth Vader sitting on the counter; it’s a bit disconcerting but one gets accustomed.

It’s the perfect size for my needs. I am concerned about long term durability and don’t think it will hold up to everyday use. An internal plastic part keeps coming off, so that’s not a good sign. I am satisfied with the brew quality. My Cuisinart Grind & Brew is a much better coffee maker, but it’s too tall to put under my cabinet.

The coffee maker works like a charm. The amount is perfect for one a two coffee drinkers. It’s easy to remove filter holder. My only observation is the plastic rim of the steel pot itself is hard to clean. It holds a bit of water that spreads when you place upright.
