Grinds and brews well. Beeping is annoying if you press program without all the pieces in place. Also a lot of pieces to clean, but this works better than other similar coffee makers I’ve tried.

This is a great coffeemaker. Fresh ground beans and fresh brewed with every pot! The thermal pot perfectly keeps the coffee at temp without that burned taste with comes with units that have heating elements under the pot. It snugs in perfectly under my cabinets and I wake up every morning to a great cup of coffee.

Coffee is nice and hot. Carafe keeps coffee hot for a good amount of time. Flavor is pretty accurate so I’m satisfied with the grind to water ratio.Here is where I am regretting this purchase: steam and or water goes up into the grinder. This requires the hopper to be cleaned and dried before brewing another pot. It is very disappointing actually, and I do not know if this is affecting any part of the brew process or not.

I love this coffee maker since I prefer using whole beans and prefer not having two machines. The trick to making perfect coffee using the Grind & Brew is to wash the parts thoroughly after every use and cleaning it with vinegar/changing the charcoal filter about every three months. I have the cleaning process down to a couple of minutes…but I do a thorough job. It works and I get complements all the time about my “great” coffee.

This coffee maker has been a great addition to our families morning routine. Scheduling the brewing is a breeze. We have to periodically switch out the water filer, which is easily accessible. The coffee grinder, when in us is loud, which most are, but the grinding time is pretty short. The grinder tip started cracking and completely broke after 1.5 yrs of daily usage, but the cuisinart customer service was quick to replace the part and stand behind their product. I would easily recommend the brand and this coffee maker.

Overall, this appliance is a good value and makes pretty good coffee if you get the ratio of beans to water correct. Use the water reservoir indicator rather than measuring separately since less water needs to be used or else your coffee will be too watery. I find it best to use 2 coffee cups of water less than the beans, not a one to one ratio. Also, the grinding of the beans is a little noisy and since there are many parts, it is a chore to wash unless you put it in the dishwasher. The carafe keeps the coffee pretty warm but I wish there was a setting to keep the surface hot as well.
