We purchased this model after our prior Grind and Brew burnt out. We owned that older model for about 3-4 years. Prior, we had the 12 cup Cuisinart DGB-900BCC which was discontinued. We do love this new 10 cup model. We are giving 4 stars due to a few minor issues. We would have loved to be able to use the 12 cup thermal carafe with the next model, however it seems the carafe are not universal. I even took our old carafe to the store to see if it would fit other Cuisinart models and had no luck. The 10 cup carafe does leak ever so slightly when pouring. We have tried adjusting the lid and cannot seem to figure out the small drips. However, every pour those drips are present. We now pour over a small towel everyday to avoid the drips to the counter. For these reasons we cannot give the 5 starts. Now the Pros of this new model:10 cup carafe- we do miss the 12 cups but the 10 cup is lighter and easier on the wrist for pouring. Cleaning this model is a lot easier than the older DGB-900BCC model. Less moving parts to work about with cleaning. While still loud for grinding, this model is quieter overall than the older model. All in all, we love the grind and brew from Cuisinart and would purchase again.

We love this coffeemaker. Why? It holds enough beans to keep us from frantically checking the hopper every time we set it up, it’s easy to fill, and the coffee stays hot in the amazing, insulated pot while we grab that extra 10 minutes of shut-eye. Cons? Welp, the grinder is kinda loud. Here’s the deal: I’m a light sleeper and live in a small apartment with thin walls. This sucker can really jolt a person out of a sound sleep when the grinder starts doing its thing. If that doesn’t do the trick, reading all those profanity texts you’re sure to get from neighbors surely will. At any rate, you’ll be awake enough to enjoy that fresh, wonderful, steaming cup of bean juice that’ll dance on your taste buds and lift your cares away. It makes those text messages easier to handle. But seriously, we wouldn’t trade this coffeemaker for the world. And what’s the REAL lesson here? Live in your own house, and make sure the kitchen is far, far away from the bedroom. Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied. My hope is that I will be able to clean it. I did not get the series that intended to get. I hope my rating remains excellent.

It’s a great coffee pot once you figure out how you like the brew/strength settings. I took a star away because I wish it was a 12 cup instead of a 10 cup pot, probably because the coffee is so good!

Works well and fast. Pretty much my only issue is when pouring where it can get a bit messy. However nothing I can’t work around.

Took a few days to get used to it and find the perfect settings for our taste, but we love it! Stylish, quick and great coffee…. And a dream to clean over other grind coffee makers. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5…. Pot leaks when pouring coffee. Something Cusisnart has not addressed in years.

The first one I bought the grinder portion did not work. Cuisianrt mailed me a second one that works well. The coffee taste is excellent. I wish the the pour spout on the carafe could beslightly improved as if you are not careful the coffee may drip when pouring the coffee

This is our third Grind & Brew. We love our morning coffee made with Fresh ground beans. We love that the beans can be stored in the feed container and that the carafe keeps the coffee warm – although not as warm as our previous model. As with other reviewers, we are disappointed that Cuisinart has not come up with a design that does not spatter and drip when pouring – this is also worse than our previous models. We put up with it because we love the coffee it makes and can’t find another model with a thermal carafe that stores the beans without a major investment.

It’s a little difficult to operate. I’ve gotten complaints from family members about the difficulty of operating the machine. When we can get it to work, it’s great. I love the “Clean” feature but it often appears when there are whole beans in the hopper that then have to be removed in order to engage the cleaning function. That is a more than a bit inconvenient. We’re getting the hang of it – I think.

We love this coffee pot. We had an earlier version for many years and look forward to enjoying this one for many years

In some ways an improvement on the previous version of Cuisinart’s 10 cup grind and brew, and in some ways not. The worse thing is that it grinds the coffee and slings grounds up on one side of the drip basket. You’ll find dry ground coffee in the basket after the coffee is made unless you very quickly open the basket and level the grounds before the water starts to perk. The top on the carafe is hard to get off, and back on, and pouring coffee from it is a hit or miss proposition. All that said, it does brew consistent coffee and the controls make it easy to know what you’re going to get. Finally, it seems to grind the coffee a bit coarser than the old style grind and brew. It’s a matter of taste as to whether the coffee is better, or worse. The coffeemaker weighs a ton, and if you have cabinets over your counter top you are going to build up muscles pushing it back and forth to be able to pour water in the top. They should sell it with a graduated measuring device with a pouring spout. It is hard to get the water into the machine. I have to use a funnel to make sure I’m not pouring the water down the side of the machine or onto the countertop.

This is the forth Cusinart Grind and Brew Coffeemaker I have purchased over the past 20 years. If you are looking for a grind and brew machine with a thermal carafe this is the best option available. The current design has been updated to make cleaning easier. I hope that Cusinart has also redesigned the heating element as it typically fails and causes the unit to leak after 3-5 years. Even with this defect it is still the best Grind and Brew option on the market. And, most importantly, the coffee does taste great on the strong setting.

This 10-Cup Coffeemaker is the best. We couldn’t image that it could be any better. Easy to make a wonderful cup of coffee and easy to clean up after it’s completed.

Overall it works well, simple to use. Some issues: 1. I wish the water fill tank was easier to access. My coffee machine is on my counter under some cabinets. I can’t fill the reservoir unless I turn the machine sideways. 2. My previous machine was a Capresso. It was much easier to fill; it heated the coffee hotter and kept it warm much longer than the carafe from this machine; and it lasted 12 years. The verdict is still out on this machine concerning its longevity..

Coffee maker brews great coffee. Have to be careful when pouring or you will drip coffee because of the design of the coffee pot. The beeper almost always goes off when hitting the brew button. Just have to push the button to release the coffee filter holder and then close again and you are good to go.

makes a good cup of coffee, but the thermos is not the greatest, hard to pour and leaks sometimes, also gets cold within 3-40 mins.

Works beautifully. Wish the stainless carafe had a better pouring angle. Have to just about turn it upside down to get the last of the coffee out. Cleans easily and makes a great adjustable cup of coffee. I’m very happy with my new coffee maker after a month of use.

Absolutely Love it so far! Had it for a few weeks now. Previously had the “lesser” grind and brew cuisinart model that you had to fill and clean for every use. Time to replace and wanted to “upgrade”.This one can store up to 4 or 5 full pots worth of beans in the hopper. the Burr Grind instead of the regular type is a nice improvement… a little richer fuller flavor using a few less beans. And it is SO MUCH EASIER to Clean. Literally just a couple minutes! Plus it looks great too! Love the display and features.VERY Pleased! Also note we haven’t really experienced the problems some people noted about the carafe not pouring well. It’s not perfect, but not really a problem. And We’ve Always preferred the Thermal Carafe…keeps coffee hot and fresh for at least 3 hours .
