   I bought this food processor about four months ago and we love it. It makes fast work of veggies, it is easy to clean, and the size is wonderful. I would definitely purchase this processor again.

   i thought i needed a mini chopper but did not like that they only have the chopping blade and no other options…. i have the classic 14c processor sooo i really did not think i needed a 9c too but after trying it and hearing the purr of the 600w motor i was wrong…. this is exactly what i need…. high powered.. fast.. chop anything and everything quickly.. i love it andddddd. it is so easy to take apart and put together… i have issues with my hands… they are not strong anymore and i have very dry cracked skin which makes it hard for me to turn the handle on my 14c processor but i can do it on this one…. it is a great machine and easier to pull out when i am not feeding the whole gang…

   This is the best food processor we’ve ever owned. The motor is really powerful and quiet. Food is chopped or grated very quickly. It’s also very easy to clean as everything that touches food can just be popped into the dishwasher. My only “negative” comment is that it’s difficult to find accessories for this model as it’s older. None of the discs that are available show compatibility with this model. You need to get the right part numbers and they usually show 7-cup and 11-cup in the description. (Same with the disc/blade case.)

    I am sensitive to loud, especially high pitched, noise and this machine does the job quietly and well. It would be nice if it had more optional pieces to buy separately…there is a thinner slicing disk. But I would like another lid without the pusher tube since I don’t use it that much.

    I traded in my very old DC9 because I was ready to purchase my third bowl and lid for it which was the same cost as buying a whole new machine! I like the Prep 9 however there is one extra step in disconnecting and connecting the lid to the bowl. Not really a problem, just an extra step.

    I’m really enjoying this food processor – It’s easy to operate and does a great job on every task I’ve used it for, from slicing, shredding and grating to dough making. The only thing I don’t like is that there are no disk sets available for this model. I could really use a disk that makes thicker slices, but there are no extra disks or accessories available. I guess that’s the trade-off for buying a discontinued model. Great price, but less flexibility.

    I really like my food processor but is made from cheap plastic materials. Otherwise works good and so far no problems.
