I really like the Cuisinart Deluxe Griddler because 1. top and bottom plate have separate controls. 2. the searing factor. 3. the adjustable top so top does not have to touch the food. 4. removable plates for dish washing capability. My husband and I love to grill. We not only grill meats but also vegetables. When we grilled spinach it gave it a unique flavor. The flavor of wild spinach. The Griddler is the same type that is at work and that is why I was comfortable when I made the purchased it was what I wanted.

The griddle does not stay hot when in use. I used it to cook pancakes. I heated it up as instructed. I left it open to cook pancakes after it got hot. It cooled off to quickly.

Everything is ok but there is one thing that should be changed. Cleaning/Scraping tool is good for cold surface only. I cut out same Cleaning/Scraping tool for hot surface from old turner. Now i can remove any leftovers from hot cooking plate before cook other food.

Sear means sear. Like this very much. Heats up quickly. Does its job. Works for even thicker cuts of meat. Seems to heat more evenly than my old different brand countertop grill. When it is 116 or hotter here, it is nice to be able to grill indoors.
