We primarily bought this as a panini maker. It works great. It’s easy to set up for function, temperature and time. The temp settings in their recipes work well broadly so excellent results. It’s very easy to maintain as well as the plates are dishwasher friendly. It turned out pancakes fast for breakfast. Have not yet used the grill for burgers or meat but looking forward to doing that. We live in an apartment so a large dedicated grill isn’t really an option and this works great. I would recommend buying this.

Heats up quickly, works well, and I like the versatility of having the choice to use the griddle or grill, in addition to availability of waffle plates (extra charge). I also like that you can choose a specific temperature rather than just Low, Medium or High like other products. That said, the handle is a bit too long so that when you put the top down, it doesn’t lay flat. So if you make something like an egg, it runs down the grill toward the middle. This didn’t stop me from keeping it because the other things outweigh this for me, I just make my eggs in my grill pan on the stove instead.

The reason I chose the Griddler Five is because it had removable grills. They can just go in the dishwasher and the fact that they are reversible is a bonus. I’ve used the open or closed position and have had great success.

I ordered non-brand compatible waffle plates. Between those and the grill plates it comes with, I use it everyday. I wish there was a way to turn the volume/beeping sounds OFF when setting the time and temperature. It’s annoying.

This is my second purchase of this grill/griddle. I replaced the original after several years because the clip on the left side of the grill no longer held the grill in place. I decided to purchase another one in July because I really liked the product. Unfortunately, after 6 weeks the same thing happened again. I called customer service and am waiting for a replacement.
