Works pretty well overall. My only complaint is that the mixer tends to pile up the ice cream on one side as the ice cream is thickening, such that it is about 30% taller then the other side. The ice cream reaches the top before being thickening to a point where it just all detaches from the tank and rides the mixer paddle. Therefore, the mixing stops, which usually happens after about 25 to 30 minutes of mixing. The recipes say 40 to 45 minutes, but it never takes that long for the mixing to stop and I don’t see any reason to keep going without mixing, as the temperature of the outside will continue, but the inside won’t be cooling. Ice cream is great though, but I do stop the mixing a couple times towards the end to push the ice cream on the high side down to keep it from climbing up and smearing on the lid.

I love this ice cream maker! The ice cream and the gelato come out better in texture and flavor than any premium ice cream on the market. I haven’t made ice cream with eggs yet because I can’t wait that long for it to cook and cool before putting it into the machine. It’s not really that long, but when I get the craving I’ve got to make it now. Heh heh. I’ve been able to cut the sugar back a little bit in the recipes which is nice, and have used melted chocolate and a little coconut oil in the vanilla recipe to make flakes throughout. I highly recommend this ice cream maker. It’s quick and easy to use and clean up is a breeze. I do recommend making the ice cream when it’s cooler in the morning because if it’s too hot in the house it will melt quickly. I leave the bucket in the machine to keep cool while I quickly scrape the ice cream off the paddle. Then I use a spatula to take the ice cream out of the bucket. If it has frozen to the bucket, wait a minute or so for it to melt from the sides. Put it in your container and freeze for a few hours.It’s a perfect texture in about two hours. I now keep two flavors in the fridge regularly because it tastes so much better if it is frozen perfectly. Yum, yum!

This machine is easy to use and makes a good product. The major downside is it only make s1 QT at a time. When making multiple batches in succession it’s not a big problem but if you take the pail out and it gets wet it will freeze to the inside of the machine be aware of this. Alos because you may be making a few batches the consistency and the mix-in’s are a bit different. the machine needs a line showing where to load the “batter” to this will help with consistency. A LARGER MODEL IS NEEDED. but all in all a good product.

This is a great ice cream maker. Our favorite is espresso gelato. We always make a double batch, put them in the refrigerator to cool, then make each batch about an hour apart so the machine can warm back up before making the second batch. It is very easy to use, but I do find that I have to clean it and blow out any water from the bottom of the mixing bowl to prevent it from freezing and getting stuck when making the second batch (easy to do, just blow a few times and wipe off the water that comes out). The texture of the ice cream/gelato is like soft serve when it finishes, and it only takes about 25 minutes for the machine to freeze a batch. From there, we put directly into a container and store in the freezer over night, and it is perfect.
