I wish that it has a bigger capacity than the 1-1/2 quart limit. It does a great job of making ice cream and gelato!

Makes great ice cream. Plastic top is a little bit difficult to fit on and a weak point in the system. Freezing mechanism is excellent. Motor very powerful. We have made a dozen batches with no bad results but it is apparent that practice makes perfect.

The machine is a little loud but it makes perfect ice cream

Overall … good product. Bowl and blades are a bit flimsy… could be easier to set and clean

Love it. Made some of the best ice cream and Italian Ice all summer long. We always have fresh ice cream to share with family and guests. So quick and easy to use.

I love my icecream/gelato maker, just wish the bowl was larger to allow more each time. It is easy to use and I am quite pleased.

I have been making gelato because it has less cream in it. The Gelato is great. However, it takes a bit of effort to make it. You have to cook the milk and cream on the stove for 15 minutes. and the entire mixture needs to cool to room temperature and then cool in the frig for 2 hours. So it makes great gelato, but it is not as simple as pour the stuff in the maker and hit the button. Fairly easy clean up. So I’m very happy, but making 2 pints of gelatto can be a 2 day event. With all that effort and expense, you may decide just to buy your own. The best part is that you know every single ingredient. So if you are into doing it yourself, this is the maker you want.

Its an excellent made machine. Works well and is simple to use. Follow your recipes, fill it 3/4 of the way and start your machine. Leave room for product freeze expansion of your recipes and clean up is a snap. Fill it too full and you get to clean more than you want.

We have used our ice cream maker for about two months. In that time we have made eight batches. These are among the best ice cream/custards we have ever eaten. The machine cools the cream quickly and the paddle is very powerful – churning and infusing air making the mixture into a fluffy ice cream. While you can further freeze the ice cream to harden it, the paddle is strong enough to make “soft serve” ice cream. Awesome! My only word of caution is that this high torque – or power to mix increasingly thick ice cream – comes at a cost. The machine is noisy – about the same level as our handheld vacuum. When we have dinner with family and friends, we put the maker in an adjacent room with the door closed to minimize the noise. This is a small inconvenience for the thrill that people get from eating such a delicious dessert. Well worth the cost.

After vacillating whether or not to buy one and then after much research, I chose this one to be our very first ice cream maker. Why? Because we don’t have a lot of freezer space to freeze a bowl before making ice cream, plus it takes planning ahead to remember to freeze the bowl for 24 hours unless you have the space to keep it in the freezer all the time. This unit sits on my kitchen counter and is ready to go whenever we decide to have ice cream and it only takes minutes to make. It’s a healtier choice making it at home. Note: Your leftovers, if any, will freeze hard and that’s because it doesn’t have all the additives store bought products have. Just take it out of the freezer before you start eating dinner and by the time you are done eating, your ice cream is ready to eat. We love it! After using it several times, I know we made the right choice.

We are using the maker weekly and it works very well, when using all-natural recipes (La Grotta, for instance). Very happy with the purchase.

an amazing and easy to use machine. let your creativity be your guide and turn your favorite tastes into frozen deserts. So far i have made froyo, sorbet, ice cream, gelato, and custard in an assortment of flavors — espresso, bananas foster, rice pudding, rum raisin, mango lassi, eggnog, cashew butter, and grapefruit just to name a few. I have started keeping a notebook to put down my ideas for what i want to try next.once your ingredients are mixed and chilled it works pretty fast – 30 to 45 minutes.one batch is enough for a large desert for 4 people or more civilized portions for a dinner party of 8.Getting all the ice cream off of the paddle can be a little messy, but overall cleanup is quick and easy as long as you do not overfill it… Best Christmas present ever – thanks Mom!
