I love being able to make ice cream with my grandchildren. Not only is it fun, but it’s nice knowing all of the ingredients!

This could be perfect but it falls just a hair short of it. Ive made quite a bit of ice creams and desserts in this machine and the one consistent thing Ive noticed from the start is that you run out of “juice” just a little too early. This isnt a huge problem but it doesnt quite get cold enough to churn out ice cream to the right consistency without a little extra freezing. When you pre-chill all the items to a bit colder than normal, it doesnt quite help either because the machine isnt powerful enough to thoroughly mix the ice cream once it reaches the correct density. So either way, you have to freeze the ice cream afterwards to get it in a harder state.

It’s working splendidly! We store the insert in the freezer so it’s always ready to go. The only things to note is that it’s loud and obviously the fact that you have to wait for the insert to be frozen or store it in the freezer. Other than those things I’ve enjoyed making my own ice cream!

The machine produces a soft ice-cream that is delicious (what food with sugar and cream is not?). The machine is loud but not too annoyingly so. There is always some ice cream that is really frozen to the sides and I wish there was a tool to cleanly remove all of the ice cream. All and all, I am happy with this product.,

I’ve made both vanilla and chocolate with mix-ins. Everybody loved them. This machine is quick, simple to use, and easy to clean. Very sturdy, well-made.

I bought this ice cream maker so I could make lactose free ice cream for my lactose intolerant family of 7. Now we can eat ice cream without spending a fortune and the ice cream maker is so easy to use. I love that the bowl just has to be frozen, no ice and rock salt required. One tip for new owners is to leave it in your freezer for a couple days before your first batch and just keep it in the freezer after that. If the bowl isn’t VERY frozen it won’t work well.

Easy to use but noisy. I run mine in the laundry room so I can close the door on it.

I’ve made two desserts with this so far: a vanilla custard and a mango ice cream. In both cases there are small ice crystals in the finished product that prevent this from becoming as smooth and silky as, say, a container of Breyers or Ruggles. Now it might be as simple as user error; I’m willing to bet the are ways to fine tune recipes that I haven’t figured out yet. Time will tell. But yeah, the thing works! Oh – it’s loud. I’m pretty sure there is a system of gears that allow for impressive torque but also increase volume; you’ll notice it gets louder as the ice cream making progresses. I had to Google it to learn this is normal behavior; at first I thought I had a dud.

Easy to use ice cream maker! The recipes contained within the included booklet are a great place to start as you’re learning this machine. We’ve so far made 2 successful batches. Love the tip to keep the frozen bowl in the freezer at all times so that when you’re ready to make ice cream, it is ready to go! Otherwise, as we learned the first time, you will be waiting 24 hours for it to fully freeze.

Only used it twice so far, but now it is so easy to make REALLY good ice cream! Fresh from the machine it’s a little soft for my liking, so allow time to freeze as well. I hope I don’t gain too much weight . .

I asked for this at Christmas to replace a smaller but still working ice cream maker. I love the bigger size, the recessed cord storage and the new recipes. The freezing cannister stays cold throughout the churning process and it doesn’t take up more storage space than my old 1 quart unit.
