Easy to use, cleaning is easy too. I keep the bowl in the freezer so it’s ready to go when we want ice cream. The vanilla takes a bit longer to get to correct consistency but taste is great- although will “melt” quickly in higher temperature weather.

Easy to use and makes amazing ice cream and frozen yogurt.

It took us 3 attempts to figure out how to get the ice cream to soft serve thickness. It’s best to freeze the ingredients after mixed before putting into machine.

Love this machine. So easy to use and the soft serve ice cream is so delicious. After seeing mine, my daughter-in-law wants one and my friend just purchased hers.

I ordered two of these machines because of the 1.5qt limitation. I am planning on using them for the kids to use when we have swim parties, or for the “al a mode” for Thanks Giving pies and 1.5qt wouldn’t be enough. The first day that we received the units, I stuck both of the mixing bowls in the freezer. After 8 hours, I thought that would be good enough and proceeded to adding the ingredients to make some soft serve. The result was something like a cold, vanilla flavored whip cream. It didn’t really thicken the way I expected. The directions do say to let the bowls freeze for 24 hours. The next evening, I tried again with the 2nd bowl that had been in the freezer for about 36 hours. Perfection!

Really neat to have, comes with a lot of gadgets which I like but had a hard time turning the mix into soft serve, it melted so fast and not crazy how the sprinkles just shoot out into the ice cream while you’re pouring it. Would prefer to be able to pour the sprinkles at the end on top. Other than that, nice product. Easy to clean up!

For the price the machine is good at making soft serve ice cream. It took me a couple attempts and was ready to send back, the key is making sure the mixing bowl is completely frozen. I think this will be a fun machine to do soft serve ice cream with the family.

Not exactly what I expected. Thought you would be able to plug it it and it would chill the ice cream and keep it cold. Didn’t expect I wou I’d havevto keep part of it in the freezer.

It is very easy to use and clean. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I wish it would have been designed with a larger opening to deliver a thicker swirl…otherwise it works very well.

Its a hit with the kids. However I wish you could get the ice cream a bit thicker before you have serve it.

We received this as a gift. First off, I love how convenient it is to make a batch of ice cream. I have made several batches, however, I can’t seem to get the ice cream into a cone without collapsing to a cold wet mess. We always have to just stick it in a bowl and put it in the freezer to harden and eat it from a bowl. I have tried to mix it a little longer with the same results and when I leave it in even longer, it’s too frozen to dispense from the handle part and I have to scoop it out of the bowl. Even then, I can’t scoop it and put it on a cone. It’s very convenient to make a batch to just freeze, but if I had known all the issues with the cones, I would have just returned it and gotten one of the older kinds of ice cream makers.

While my wife and I like the Cuisinart ICE-45 Mix It In Soft Ice Cream Maker as far as having your soft ice cream in a bowl but as far as having a soft ice cream cone we have a different opinion as my wife doesn’t really care and I do like them. For the price you pay for this soft ice cream maker I would give it a solid 4 stars. I did buy a second 1 1/2 qt freezer bowl when I made the order and I am glad for that as it takes the freezer bowl overnight to freeze the bowl again after each use. It takes a while to get the mixture of the mix of powder and water right plus mixing time for getting the consistency right for putting in a cone or bowl. We finally ended up with 1 1/2 cups of mix to 2 3/4 cups of water and mixing between 22 to 25 minutes here in the Pacific Northwest. I am sure with the different climates in the area’s people live this may not work. Our next option is trying the waffle bowl as might being the better solution than ice cream cones. Overall we both like the Quisinart ICE-45 Soft Ice Cream Maker.

We are very happy with the ice cream maker but you need to make sure you buy the right mix for soft serve ice cream Machines. So turn it on and enjoy

Easy to use. My only complaint is the ice cream doesn’t come out in a stream like you would expect. It kinda just plops out. We have made a few of the recipes in the book and they are good. Overall we like the machine.

We received this machine as a gift for Christmas and I was concerned it would be one of those appliances you use once and don’t touch again. We’re on our 4th batch and our kids have requested that we never buy ice cream again because what we can make is so much better.I work in product design and there are a few UX annoyances to me, mostly surrounding the cleaning of the machine. The auger and lid, for example, are a pain to wash and really scrub clean. But I will say that there is a very good barrier between parts that can and can’t be washed. Plus, the ice cream is so good that all is forgiven. The condiment dispenser on the side is also a little spastic. I understand it’s a strictly mechanical design though without smarts, so it makes sense. I just prefer to store the sprinkles in the little containers and pop them on after. The whole mix-in concept is kind of unnecessary.
